This week I have a job interview, and this is an outfit I would consider wearing to it. It has all the components to a traditional suit; button down, blazer, tailored pant, but in non-traditional fabrics. I think the pieces are streamlined enough to say professional, but still creative, and speak to the kind of person that I am.
Today I also have a guest post over at Unraveled Threads, so check it out if you've got a moment!

ReplyDeleteThis weekend was amazing, wasn't it? I really like this outfit. This is how I like to do interview outfits too. Traditional elements with a twist to show your personality.
ReplyDeleteThis could be a great alternative option for your interview. I think those trousers are amazing, love them! Wishing you the best with the interview! :-) /Madison
ReplyDeleteI love the twist on the denim on denim trend and those pants are fantastic!
ReplyDeleteRight??? Is it spring yet??? Good luck on the interview! I love this trouser/blazer combo!
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to job interviews, the thing I always have the most anxiety about is not how it will go, but how my outfit will be percieved. This is obviously very much a testament to the kind of person that I am. In the end, I always go for something traditional and wish I'd taken more of a risk. So I love the way that traditional office wear meets fun, effortless style in this look. The printed pants and denim blazer are put together but still young and carefree enough to speak to who you really are, rather than just giving the message that you are serious about the job. And that bag - so gorgeous! Good luck with your interview, I hope you'll tell us how it goes :)
