I've never been to Las Vegas, but the allure of gambling at the casino for me is more about what I might wear:
The slot machines are definitely my speed, during the day in floral shorts and a crisp white shirt. I love the d'orsay flats which would be comfortable to get around in, but still have a nice metallic accent. The metallic tote will be great for toting all my winnings in, when I hit the jackpot. (And the of course holding all my purchases when I take said winnings and go shopping!)
For a night at the poker table I could wear the "Dreamtown Dress" and make the flats and bag do double duty. I think the tote would do well folded over to work as a clutch. I think I even surprised myself by not choosing something dripping in sequins for my evening attire, but something about this abstract print dress felt perfect for the Las Vegas strip. I envision free champaign, a very dapper man at my side, and hopefully enough beginners luck to get me through the evening.
Sadly jetting off to Vegas isn't a possibility right now, but maybe I could have a little gaming fun playing the Avalon II slots game online, or picking up the Fodor's Guide to Las Vegas and start planning to make my vacation dreams a reality.
Have you ever been to Vegas? What is your favorite thing to do - do you gamble at the high-stakes tables, or just shop, see the shows, and take in the sights, pretending you are actually somewhere in Europe, rather than the middle of the desert?

I could see you in Las Vegas. Pretty sure you'd be one of the most well-dressed ladies there!
ReplyDeleteAlso, your comment made me internally fuzzy. You are so sweet, Lyddie!! I am quite happy. :)
I'm not sure I would like Las Vegas too much, haha...too many peoples ;)
ReplyDeleteBut everything you chose is perfect, I love that dress

ooooh you are making me wish that I was in Vegas :) I have only been once, but I definitely kept trying to convince myself I was in Europe the whole time. I mean, if you stay in the nice restaurants and hotels, you can totally convince yourself!
ReplyDeleteI could see you in these outfits and Yes. I have been to Vegas and almost lost my arse in the casinos. Although we have so many casinos here in Florida, a Vegas trip is just Exciting. If you plan it, you will go. . .
ReplyDeleteI love that little dress and the shorts are adorable too. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI've never been to Vegas, either, but anywhere with sunny skies and no chance of precipitation has been on my mind this week, as I live with alternating show and fog. If it were me, I'd probably spend most of my time considering what to wear, then getting dressed, going out, then coming back to change into a new outfit - because that's what you can do when you're on holiday :) And I'd love it if one of my outfits involved that gorgeous dress!

I love that first dress and the flats as well. I've never been to Vegas, but I soon turn 21 and hopefully after that I could make a trip.

A trip to Vegas would be a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteI have been visiting Vegas my whole life, and I do not even gamble! I just love walking around and seeing everything. Also window shopping at the amazing malls and catching a fashion show at the Fashion Show Mall on the strip. The weather is awesome and I never get tired of it.
ReplyDeleteI love Vegas, I go there at least 2 times a week. It's fun!!!!

Vegas would be a great place to go with a group of friends. I'm not much of a gambler, but seeing the shows and sights and shopping sounds really fun.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the shorts in your collage. I have never been to Vegas either. For the longest time I thought I wouldn't ever like going there but in the last few yeas my opinion has definitely changed and I hope to visit it within the next few years.

I've been. It's fun. I loved the shows, shopping and sights. So much to see. I did a couple of posts on it. Click on vacation (under topics) in my side bar. It's really cheap to go right now.

I really love those patterned shorts! I've been to Vegas once and enjoyed it...I hope to go back soon now that my younger sister is over 21!
ReplyDeleteWell, you can always do Vegas on your next vacation.
ReplyDeleteIt's ok, i actually liked "old las vegas" better - they had fried Twinkies and fried Oreos.
Our friends asked us to go to Vegas with them at the end of the month. It's so tempting. They're from the Twin Cities and their flight is around $200. From Madison, Wis., it's $700 for that same weekend! (To give you perspective, I looked up a flight to Belgium over that time...it's only $300 more. Haha)
ReplyDeleteBut, what I'd do for warm weather right about now...
