We had plenty of time to take outfit photos before the event started, and after a day of overcast skies and fog, it was wonderful to see the sun and have the light catch on the sequins of my jacket (which everyone loved).
Part of the event included a little 'pop up' Benefit Brow Bar and I decided to have my eyebrows threaded. It was my first experience with threading (or professional eyebrow grooming of any kind) and I was surprised at how quick and painless it was. Most important is that my eyebrows are still thick and full, just cleaned up; I have a huge fear of being 'over-plucked'.
The rest of the event was a lot of fun, shopping and trying on clothes, devouring mini cupcakes and socializing with South Moon Under's wonderful staff and the other ladies in attendance.
Already planning to go back to Westport soon!

Love the blazer and how you styled it. Super chic look. I never noticed your eyebrows weren't groomed just thought they were nice and thick which I wish mine were!
ReplyDeleteI've never gotten my eyebrows professionally groomed either. I've heard threading hurts so I'm glad to hear it wasn't that painful. Sounds like a fun event and your jacket is fab!

That's such a snazzy jacket! I've never had my eyebrows threaded- I'm such a wimp when it comes to pain! I do get them waxed occasionally though- did you find that threading is less painful than waxing?
ReplyDeleteThat jacket may be the single coolest jacket I have ever, ever seen!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I am loving that jacket! The sequins are amazing! You look so chic!
ReplyDeleteThis jacket is perfection! I've never had my eyebrows threaded before, but I have been waxed and share your fear of being over-plucked!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Nnenna - that jacket is all kinds of snazzy! I've also always wanted to try threading; I hear really positive things.

WOW, your jacket is simply stunning:) Glad you had a wonderful time, lovely.
ReplyDeleteOnce you've had threading, you'll never go back - it's the best thing for eyebrow grooming (especially if you have naturally full brows.) This event looks like it was a lot of fun and what a perfect occasion to take that gorgeous sequinned jacket out. It's no wonder everyone loved it, it's stunning... especially when the sun catches it!

I'm not surprised that your jacket was so popular! I wonder if a DIY version could be made with brass buttons or something similar. Also, those snake rings are beautiful; I love animal-themed jewelry.
