And I think the sad part is, all the money I made from cosigning, I spent right then and there! Even worse, is that I haven't even worn seven of the things I bought. Seven is a big number, and I didn't even think it was that many until I just now looked, counted, and grimaced. All of the purchases were between $1 and $5 so of course I thought nothing of them at the time. But now, I either need to wear them, or they need to go right back from where they came!

Such a cute look!
ReplyDeleteAnd yea, the one good thing about my French challenge is it stops me from buying tons of little things, I really have to think about it. (except, you know...that time :p)

A classic, pretty look. I love that nail polish. You always have the best colors.
ReplyDeleteLove how delicate and feminine the shorts are! Great look!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love that clutch.
Those scalloped shorts are so pretty! I used to have a bad habit of buying things and then never wearing them. I've gotten better about it lately!

I'm not good at utilizing all of my closet either, but I think that's because I'm still holding on to some stuff that I don't like anymore. I love these floaty scalloped shorts that you're wearing here!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful girl, beautiful look and beautiful bag, perfect, like it.

See you soon

God I love those shorts - I'm sure you'll get a lot of wear out of them...then you can move on to getting more wear out of the other items.

Well that sounds like a good goal and to be honest I would have normally probably done the same thing with my consignment money. Hey, at least you didn't spend extra money right? I love these stripes and scallops!
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful, as always! I am in love with that clutch!

The scalloped shorts enter the scene again… these continue to look great -now I am just admiring how you wore your hair with the hat.
ReplyDeleteI have learned my lessons as well. Now I try to choose less and really think of things what I love & need. It kinda helps that I'm sharing my wardrobe with my fiance, so there's not lot of spaces to fill and if something new is coming, something old have to go. I never thought that it would be so hard to find striped top, because my last one I have worn to death. It's such a great basic and I have soft spot for stripes. Your top is gorgeous and paired with scalloped short looks so pretty. You look gorgeous!

I really like what you did here. The mix of classic stripes with something cool like scallops is a thoughtful choice. :] // itsCarmen.com ☼
ReplyDeleteThat clutch is absolutely adorable! I sometimes get caught with the thrifting bug and end up with items I never wear. It can be hard to think when a $1 price tag is staring at you! ;)
ReplyDeleteThe curse of the overstuffed closet - I know it all too well. I think this is why, although it's so tempting, I've never let myself get too good at thrifting. When something is a bit more expensive, I'm more prone to considering my purchase carefully. If something is five dollars, it's mine, without a second thought. That said, I hope you wear these shorts more because every time I see them, they are even more fabulous. I never thought I'd see the day when I wanted a pair of scalloped shorts but, thanks to you, that day has come.

LOL I can definitely relate with selling your clothes and instantly buying something (usually from the same place!) right after. I sold some clothes last winter and bought a pair of boots with all the money, which was definitely worth it. It's a good trade!
ReplyDeleteI love how the stripes on that top start a little below the neckline. So so cute! Also, I saw about that dress with the sailboat you wanted and hope that somehow there's a way you can get it--that must be so frustrating! I'm assuming it's out of stock online then. :(
You look adorable. Love those shorts. And I must ssy you have very nice legs for wearing shorts.
ReplyDeleteGlad I found your blog.
Ooh I love this mix--the classic stripes complement the flowy scalloped shorts perfectly. I have a really hard time getting rid of clothes too, but somehow not as hard of a time buying new ones :)
ReplyDeleteKeep on wearing the shorts! I love the combination with stripes. We are all a bit guilty of wearing/buying a few items because they're cheap. I hope you wear those pieces soon!

Awesome outfit! I love the striped tee with those scalloped shorts. Looks so pretty together. I've made purchases where I never wore the item. It drives me crazy, because either it doesn't match with something, or you can't find something to go with it or you don't feel right in it. I usually just give it away. It always comes to that.
ReplyDeleteLove that anchor bracelet, girl! Such a cute, nautical look! :)
