Lightweight knit dresses are quickly replacing airy chiffon as the chillier autumn air encroaches. This black and white leopard print number from Wallis' petite section fits the bill of everything I could want in a dress for early October.
Petite sizes are often an impossibility for me, as I'm petite in stature, and no where else, but since this dress is a knit, it is forgiving of my curves and perfect for my height.
Come winter this dress will be substantial enough to layer with tights, boots and a jacket, or it might be fun with a fur vest.
My only qualm is that the website description does not disclose that the zippered front pockets are in fact, faux. For me, pockets are a huge selling point on a dress and it was a bit of let down when I unzipped them and did not find a place to put my hand.
Other than that, it is a fabulous little dress and I intend to wear it quite a bit this season!

It makes sense to me why they're faux because of their placement, but they give your figure an amazing compliment. Knit dresses are the best.
ReplyDeleteYou are pulling out the most awesome leopard pieces lately - I love it!

What a chic and ladylike dress! You look fabulous!

Bummer about the pockets--I hate that! I love knit dresses, but I often find that they are way too short--and I'm not even tall! I'm 5'4" and most of them are like actual sweaters on me! I love the way this dress fits you, however. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThat dress is PERFECT! So effortless, but chic!

I'm loving the dress and agree pockets are certainly a great feature but super cute nonetheless.

Petite in Pearls
I'm right there with you - petite in stature, but because I'm curvy, I have difficulty shopping petite sometimes. I love this dress! The print is great and the cut is flattering :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous fit and flatter is this dress and you can wear for many seasons. This dress fits you to a tee.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for stopping by my blog today! I like very much this dress and his print!!! Kisses,

The pattern and shape of this dress are amazing! Even if the pockets aren't real, they do add nice detail to the front!

Totally in love with the print of this dress...and these pictures are stunning!
ReplyDeleteGreat dress. I love the zipper pockets. It's very flattering on you too.
ReplyDeleteThat dress is very pretty. I love the print. I agree pockets are a huge selling point for a dress. It is a bummer that yours are faux.
ReplyDeleteYou know I love that dress, the print is FAB!

Such a classic and stylish look. Your dress is beautiful on you plus I love your cute little winged bag. You look amazing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty dress! I love the zippered pockets!
ReplyDeleteThe fact that those pockets aren't real pockets absolutely broke my heart - this dress is perfect in every other way but there is nothing that puts me off more than pieces were details are included without function. Besides, where is a girl supposed to put her phone if there are no pockets? I digress. Despite the lack of storage space, this dress is such a gem and the fact that it comes in a reasonable-fitting petite size is even more of a selling feature :)

Pocket fake-out--not cool! I love dresses with pockets too. Everything else about this dress though, perfection.
ReplyDeleteDying over this black and white leopard dress! The zipper detailing is too cute! Gorgeous girl!

This is a great dress on you! I used to be so afraid of knit being very unforgiving to the body but have learn to love it. I just have to find a knit that's not too thin and remember to use shape wear to hide all my lumps and bumps.

Beautiful dress, so chic!!!!

That is such a stunning dress!
ReplyDeleteSo sad about the pockets though - I'd be annoyed too to find that they aren't practical and the zips are just for decoration. Dresses with pockets are the best! :) At least this one looks pretty on you to make up for it :)

Gorgeous dress! I am a huge fan of animal prints.
ReplyDeleteI have a couple of Wallis dresses and love them all as their quality never disappointed me. I was laughing as my mum always needs pockets ;-)

Oooh, I have a very similar dress and can't wait to wear it this fall! That is definitely annoying about the website not alerting us to the fact that the pockets are not real...smh.
