Getting every extra bit of milage I can out of my summery dresses always makes me happy. This particular jacket is unlined, but I'm sure at some point I will be layering it over my thicker sweaters or perhaps with a fur vest?
Rather than pulling out the booties, I am still opting for sandals. What can I say? I love my sandals and wish I could just wear them all year.

ReplyDeleteWhen I first saw that jacket on your blog I ordered one for myself but I misjudged the size and it's too large for me...I was seriously so disappointed!

I STILL don't have a utility jacket...haha. Oh well XD
ReplyDeleteLove it layered with the dress!

Great look for the fall! I don't own a utility jacket but this looks like a definite wish list item. It looks super comfy and versatile. LOVE your sandals by the way.

You look great. I have wanted a good utility jacket for years but have let to purchase one. Maybe this will be the year.
ReplyDeleteNot that I wouldn't wear all of your outfits but striped dresses and utility jackets are just perfection together.
ReplyDeleteI agree, I wish I could wear sandals and dresses more often but nights are getting very chilly here. You look great and I love the jacket!

AH! The utility jacket paired with the stripes and cognac-colored bag? Perfection!

I have a really similar jacket—mine is from Zara about three years ago. Easily one of the most versatile outwear pieces I own, I wear it 5x a week in fall/spring!!

This is a great transitional Fall look! I think it's still nice out so sandals work just fine.
ReplyDeleteI would absolutely say that a utility jacket is a worthy investment. I can't tell you how many times I wear mine--even just to throw it on to go out the door! I love it here with the stripes! And, hey, if you can still get away with sandals I say go for it!
ReplyDeleteI have to say this looked fab . I would have never thought that this jacket would go such a long way!
ReplyDeleteIt does look amazing with everything you have worn it with.
I have that jacket in the tan color and I love it too! I'd rather layer it than wear any type of winter jacket (at least for now). And keep wearing the sandals while you can - although I'm looking forward to not always having to have a pedicure.
ReplyDeleteYou have paired two classics in gorgeous look. I think it would look wonderful layered with fur vest. I wouldn't mind as well if the sandal weather would last a bit longer.

With all the use I get from my utility vest I keep thinking a jacket will be such a good purchase, but there are so many cute fall jacket options I can never decide and typically just give up! I still always love how you style this one though!
ReplyDeleteUtility jacket and striped dress? How had I not thought of this yet? Chalk this up to another round of style inspiration from you, because I am most definitely going to be recreating this look myself soon - although probably with ankle boots, because they're what I want to wear all year long :)

That jacket is the perfect piece to transition for fall...loving it with your stripes!
ReplyDeleteI am still reaching for my sandals. I don't know why but I like to wear mine into fall. Especially since it hasn't been that cool here in Kansas.
ReplyDeleteLove this look Lydia. That jacket is the perfect complement for your striped dress. Hold on to the sandal weather as long as you can.
ReplyDeleteStripes and utility jackets are my favorite combos and this look is perfect! I think it could even be worn with boots once it gets cooler!
