Of course you can easily pick up a new faux fur collar, though I've always found them to be abundance in thrift stores this time of year. I even spotted a grey one the other day, which I'm contemplating going back for.
I can't seem to wrap my head around the fact that there are only two weeks until Christmas. I feel like I've gotten nothing done; tree isn't up, cookies haven't been baked, cards haven't been mailed, gifts haven't been wrapped - though due in part to my online shopping I've at least put a sizable dent in the gifts I need to purchase. Of course the longer my to-do list becomes, the more I just want to ignore it in favor of cozying up on the couch with some hot chocolate and a Christmas movie.

I love the monochromatic look with the pop of red. Lots of great texture in this outfit. I'm totally ready to hibernate on my few days off and do nothing!
ReplyDeleteI am 100% in favour of adding fur bits to things.

I love this look Lydia. A fur collar is such an investment piece. I haven't bought one gift, made one cookie or even put up one decoration. I guess I thrive on tight deadlines : )
ReplyDeleteCamel and grey look so lux together.
ReplyDeleteI think you look marvellous !
We bought our tree last night, hopefully will be putting it up today.
Yep, I am right there with you! I don't have my tree up, I haven't baked anything and I haven't mailed a card yet. And I have almost all my shopping done! So it seems that I should be a lot further along than this . . .
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your fur collar. It is a great piece that adds instant glam. I have one too in white ostrich feathers that I like to add to coats sometimes. I tend to get a little nervous wearing fur sometimes because I'm always afraid someone will throw paint on me! It's irrational but it's true.
Great outfit, you look beautiful :)

Fur is so fun this year. I love your gray sweater and jeans here too.
ReplyDeleteI love your fur collar, my grandmother has a few and I wear them when I can. They add a little bit of flare to any outfit. Great find!!!

Same here... no tree yet! I am not good at baking and rather have my mum's homemade cookies ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove the fur collar and it is such a stylish option to pimp any coat!

Love the fur collar with the trench. The camel and the fur goes perfectly.
ReplyDeleteSigh. I know exactly how you feel about Christmas this year. Normally I'm so organised. This year... well, the tree is up. The decorating was done half-heartedly at best and that's about as far as I've gotten. I still have so many presents to buy, and the closer the holiday gets, the more I find myself avoiding shopping to avoid dealing with how behind I am. Oh well. At least we're wearing cute winter outfits :) I have to say, I still have no problem shopping for myself. I've had my eye on a camel coat for a while now and I think this outfit has convinced me to take the plunge. I never would have guessed how great camel could look with grey, but now that I know, I need to get on the bandwagon!
ReplyDeletexox,

PS: I love your fur collar. And I'm sure I would love a grey one even more. I think you need it ;)
I knew I was going to love this look just by the title! You look gorgeous! Obsessing over that coat!

I did pretty good getting things done early this year for Christmas. Although, I get most things online and it is taking FOREVER for the shipping. I really like the tan, gray, and cranberry combo. When you said you thrifted the fur stole, I imagined the old-fashioned fox stoles with the heads still attached and the tails inserted in the mouths. LOL!
ReplyDeleteI know, I can't believe Christmas is so soon. I've barely done anything to prepare and I'm hardly in the spirit of things!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing fur collar! I am so behind with Christmas shopping. I've been slowly checking off the relatives, and sadly leaving my family till last!
ReplyDeleteThat fur collar is fantastic! What a great thrifting find!

I LOVE this outfit! But unfortunately there's no such thing as lots of faux fur winter coats at thrift stores in Miami. Lol.
ReplyDeleteThat fur jazzes up a trench! Very nice touch. Oh Lydia, you have a lot to do girl. Get started! HaHaHa

I have a similar faux fur collar that I need to use. Thanks for the reminder how it adds so much to an outfit. I love the pairing of camel with gray and the pretty colored heels.

ReplyDeleteI feel like I have so much left to do too!! But yes, thank goodness for online shopping!
Oh my Lyddie, you're so furry and fantastic! I hope you're keeping warm out there. ;)
ReplyDeleteI bought a fur scarf a few years ago and it does make everything instantly more luxe!
ReplyDeleteI still need to finish shopping and send out cards. Ugh. It snuck up on me this year!
