While I only wore it a couple of times before things warmed up, I was not all too pleased with the outfits. I feel like this one is finally a success... Now I just need some inspiration on how to style it next.

That's the worst: having an awesome piece and just kinda styling it up wrong and ending up with dud outfits. It happens to the best of us, so I am glad you shared your success outfit!
ReplyDeleteI tried on the fair isle sweater from Old Navy, but it just didn't fit right! Hopefully I can find something similar to this soon. :)

I seriously think that sweater is so cute on you - and it looks perfect paired with those dark jeans.

This outfit is definitely a hit! I love those jeans on you!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great navy look! Love that sweater! (and the background)

The colors in your fair isle are much easier to style than mine. I ended up giving mine away. It was an odd combination. Maybe layer it over some neutral buffalo plaid? Like a navy and cream check? I'm trying to think of skirts you've worn too because it would look great with a pencil skirt that maybe has a little special detail.
ReplyDeleteI like the vintage vibe of this sweater :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that sweater on you:) Have a great day, sweetie.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures! Looking great, I like the sweater! :)

Pretty sweater, I only have one fair isle sweater which I've worn a handful of times. Your sweater is a neutral color so you could pair it with a bright colored skirt maybe a coral/orange color or a light gray fit and flare mini skirt and tall boots. I actually think the latter would look great on you!
ReplyDeleteI like fair isle patterns and I really like the colors in your sweater. Maybe you could style again belted over a dress?
ReplyDeleteSo pretty this look, love your sweater.

That's so hard when you have such a wonderful piece and there's no idea how to style. I hope inspiration will come to you, because it's truly a wonderful cardigan and timeless.

I really like this navy cardigan and how you have styled it here - very pretty! I have seen quite a few of these around this season, but wasn't sure about how I would style one. Now I may reconsider. :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous outfit, I am absolutely obsessed with fair isle this season. Love it!

While I really like the look of fair isle on others, particularly around Christmas - I'm a sucker, I can't help it! - I've always felt like I'd really struggle with how to style. I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds is tricky - but then again, you nailed it so completely with this look, pretty much all I'd have to do is copy it exactly and I'd be good to go :) I have to say, in all seriousness, you are one of only two people who ever makes me think it might be a good idea to try flared jeans again. You just wear this pair so well every time!

Those dark bootcut jeans are so flattering on you! Fair isle is always so cute!
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't get more classic than this, a fair isle and a bootcut pant. You look gorgeous!

You did a great job styling it Lydia. Hmm i see the white and think it would be great with a white coat as well.

I think this is the chicest Fair Isle outfit I've ever seen. Love it! It's very cool because I feel like you're wearing this sweater in a very modern way.
ReplyDeleteReally pretty sweater! I love it!

I like the way you pair it with denim maybe a skirt or jacket next time would look good.
ReplyDeleteLooooove this- and perfect for this time of year! Your hair in a pony is too cute. :)

I like the details that's also on the sleeve - so pretty. I have 1 fair isle sweater that I hope is coming out to play soon. It's a heavier sweater so I have to wait till it really does get colder.
