Dress despite the weather

Back in November I spotted this cute 3/4 sleeve little black dress at Old Navy. It was $37, so I passed on it, but when I found it on clearance for $11, somehow it made it's way into my closet.

Don't get me wrong, I love my denim, but in my heart I'm a dress girl, and I can only go so long without wearing one. Especially when I've got a cute new one with the tags still on, just begging to go out.

I layered up as best I could, with my fleece trouser socks over my tights, and this leather jacket does have a quilted lining, so it's not as skimpy as it appears. I was freezing of course, but it was worth it.

    I just checked it out on their site, because here its so accessorised I could not see the detail.

    I love dresses! I try to dress cute in the winter, but it just gets SO cold here. It's hard. I often rock fleece lined tights and leggings, but sometimes it just doesn't cut it :(

    It feels like forever since I've worn a dress - it's just been too cold. But this morning I decided enough was enough and dragged one out of my closet. I'm a jeans girl at heart, of course, so I can only imagine the torture this weather has been for someone who feels most at home in dresses. Which, by the way, is completely obvious in these photos - you look absolutely radiant and so comfortable. Part of that is probably the fact that your dress fits like a glove and was only $11, of course ;)

    I am a major fan of this hat. Just thought I'd let you know.

    I do things like wear my coat that only has sweater sleeves in 20 degree weather all the time, so I totally feel you on this one. I just really like that coat, you know? I just make sure to wear long gloves and a big scarf.

    GIRL, I hear you! Last week's weather showed no mercy. While I opt for dresses over pants, too, I couldn't bear wearing the former. This is the time of year when I'm sure my legs will never see the light of day ever again.
