My Mom is an extraordinary baker, and while it would be impossible to rival her confections, it was so delightful to have a dessert for her that she didn't have to lift a finger to create. The chocolate cake, chocolate covered strawberries, and mini cheesecakes were all delicious and so decadent.
Even though my siblings and I are grown, my Mom's duties to us never lessened. She is still the first call with any, and every cooking question. I text her photos of clothes I like while shopping, seeking her approval, and she is the bargain hunter, and woman who watched every single episode of "What Not To Wear" with me, who inspired 'Chic on the Cheap'. I can even enlist her as my outfit photographer most days, and of course, she obliged me by appearing in this post.
There is little my Mom hasn't or won't do for my siblings and I, and while it's important to let her know how grateful I am for that everyday, it's especially nice to indulge her on Mother's Day.

What a sweet post! You and your mom really do look so much alike - and it's very easy to see where you got your sense of style from. And of course, as you know, I am all for including sweet treats in all celebrations, no matter what the occasion - but it's even better if they're picturesque, which these ones certainly are :)
