Scalloped shorts

I will be the first to admit I was a bit premature in the wearing of these shorts, but the sun was out, it was 70° (for a minute or two), and having received them as a birthday gift, I was quite anxious to wear them.

The shorts are from Loft and the sizing is ridiculous. I got them in a size four and had to exchange them for a two, though admittedly, even the twos are a little large. I'm not sure what is going on at Loft, but I am not a zero. I'm okay with that. I don't need a number to make me feel better about myself and these sizing games just make shopping a lot harder!

I'm certainly looking forward to this weekend, and more beautiful weather - now if only the bitter wind would offer a reprieve.

    Okay, those just might be the best shorts ever - so cute! But that's weird about the sizing. One time I bought a pair of pants from Zara and I bizarrely found that the extra small fit me best....and there's is no way in hell that I've been an XS in anything since I was like eight years old. So weird...

    I agree with the sizing! I have had to size down two sizes at Penney's too! It's ridiculous! I love those scalloped shorts. I will have to look at Loft for them!

    The sizing has been weird at Loft lately. Before I could count on one size but I just bought 3 bottoms from there in sizes 2, 4, and 6. What gives?? Loft does have great shorts. Love the top and clutch. It all works together perfectly.

    Those shorts are so cute! And I know what you mean about Ann Taylor/Loft sizing, however, it's been nice now that I'm preggers and things don't fit quite the way they used to (Loft has been a godsend).

    Woohoo for shorts weather (even if it's just a minute)! I love that pair too--I'm definitely scoping out Loft when I'm ready for shorts this summer.
    BUT yes, I agree about their sizing. I was there the other day too and my normal size (6 there) was WAY too big. I haven't seen a size 4 since middle school, and I'm perfectly fine with that, but can we just have some consistency please? I just need clothes that fit.

    I love those shorts! I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks Loft sizing is off. I keep ordering stuff and it doesn't fit because the smallest size is too big - particularly with the shorts and dresses. I know I'm skinny (or more like - I know I have a flat butt) but I'm not a child!

    Those shorts are so cute, I really can't blame you for wanting to wear them even if the weather hadn't quite caught up yet! I've never really been a scallop girl, but every time I see you wearing something with scallops, I start to think that I need more of them in my own wardrobe.     Those scalloped shorts are lovely, what a nice birthday gift! Even if the sizing is off! I hate how variable the sizing can be here in Australia too - even on brands I usually know my size in! makes online shopping even harder :(

    I saw those shorts at LOFT and thought they were cute. This is a super cute outfit :) I totally agree about LOFT sizing running really large. I have one dress from there that's an XS and I'm certainly not an XS!
