As it's been warming up, I've been finding my way back into my old office style go-to, dresses and blazers. While most days I still keep things pretty casual, I'm gradually building up to dressier ensembles. I love the cute dragonfly print on this shirt dress, and how well it coordinates with the camel blazer.
I also feel like I want to say a little congratulations to our local celebrity, winner of American Idol, Nick Fradiani. While I may have never been a fan of American Idol, ever since it became apparent that Nick might have a chance at winning I've been watching, and even voting. This past month the favorite small talk topic has been playing 'Six Degrees of Nick Fradiani' and my personal favorite is: my Mother's best friend briefly dated Nick's father when they were in high school. Now I just need to get to Bishop's Orchard and try Nick's ice cream.

I don't think I've ever actually watched an episode of American Idol but that's a pretty cool connection (and it's neat that he won!). And I'm totally blown away by your dress and that perfect petal background.

I will never get tired of your cherry blossom photos! And again, I love how the colours of this look subtly coordinate with the background - masterful :) As for American Idol, well, I have to admit that I don't even own a TV, so I'm pretty out of the loop when it comes to those contests. But I remember years ago when Canadian Idol was briefly around, one of the winners came from the city where one of my uncles lives and the excitement there was pretty overwhelming. And he didn't even have his own ice cream!

This is the prettiest dress, ever! Love that pattern:) Kisses, darling.
ReplyDeleteThe location where you took these photos is beautiful. I love all of the petals.
ReplyDeleteAnd your dress is beautiful. I love the little dragonfly print.
I never watch AI either but that is cool that someone local to you won! Congrats to him! Very exciting! And I love this camel blazer with the printed shirt dress!
ReplyDeleteThat dress is too cute!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd YAY Nick! I loved him since his audition so I was super happy he won! (would have been happy either way, the top 3 were my favorites anyway) :D
I'm glad AI is ending after next year though. The past few years it just hasn't been the same as it used to. I stopped watching for a couple years but when they brough Harry Connick Jr to judge I had to start watching again, haha...so I've seen almost every season (just not the first one, and a few in between)

You have no idea how much I like that camel blazer !
ReplyDeleteI have not seen AI in at least 2 years..
Another pretty shirt dress! Isn't it fun when a local is on a tv show? David Gokey was from nearby quite a few seasons back and there was a bachelorette contestant about a year ago too!
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit and totally LOVE those Rayban's!

I love the subtle print on your shirt dress. Too funny about the AI thing! I used to watch the show but have lost interest over the past several season and watch it here and there.
