Lightweight

The weekend went by in a blur. The sun didn't come out once, and it rained on and off. I came down with a cold on Thursday, so I spent most of my time in PJs, save for the couple hours when I got dressed to catch up with Meg and Christine.

I thought I might use my time in be to get ahead on blogging, but instead I slept, and read a book cover to cover. I've missed reading. I feel like I've been giving it a backseat to everything else, but it was nice to just give myself permission to relax with a cup of tea and a box of tissues and enjoy a book.

Thankfully I'm feeling better today and I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of things.

    So glad that you are feeling better! When I read that one book like three months ago (that sounds so ridiculous), I really realized how much I also loved reading. It is such a nice escape! Love this scarf and hat!

    I know just how you feel about this weekend, although admittedly I don't have a cold as an excuse, just excurciating heat. In Vancouver, air conditioning is a pretty rare thing to find and the temperature has been around 90, which has made doing anything productive relatively challenging. This is a perfect summer outfit as far as I'm concerned, so much so in fact that I'd like to steal all of the pieces I don't already have in my closet to wear it myself, but alas, I'm pretty sure right now I'd be way too hot in it. And who ever thought I would be complaining about that?!

    I'm glad you are feeling a bit better. I haven't read a book in quite some time, and I miss it too. Reading is so healthy, but it takes a backseat to blogging which is not the same!
