End of August

I love that August has 31 days. I feel like that extra day makes a big difference somehow, as hard as it is to ignore that summer is reaching it's end, I'm not quite done with it yet.

Over the weekend I had a blogger lunch date with a couple of my favorite ladies and also made it to Lake Compounce, on their very last day of summer operation. Nothing like waiting until the last minute, right? Now that I've gotten my fill of roller coasters and flying swings I'm planning for the beach and intend on taking advantage of the summer temps which the weathermen have scheduled for the week ahead.

Sure, fall fashion is rolling out, and it's hard to ignore the draw; seasonal changes in retail make every store feel brand new again. Plus even if it's too soon to wear it, it's not too soon to shop for it! (Yes, tomorrow's post will be centered on Fall, but I'm not fully making the switch, you will be seeing so much more summer from me yet!)
