This year they were both on the same day, and I will apologize in advance for the photo overload. I attended the RewardStyle event with Meg and we took photos beforehand, then I went to the Mode party with Rosa and there happened to be this gorgeous art installation at the venue with thousands of fresh flowers hanging among the trees, so of course we had to take more photos!
The dress I am wearing is a Helmut Lang that came to me all the way from Panama. It belonged to my blog friend Lorena, who I feel like I've known since I started this blog. She no longer wanted it and was kind enough to send it my way. It was the perfect dress for the occasion - thank you Lorena!
It was a rainy day, but by some miracle my hair did not poof out and the sun came out just in time to set over the harbor. Not a bad 'fashion week' at all.

The ruched dress you chose was perfect for the Fashion NYC events. I love the watercolor floral print, the design, shape and ruching of it. How cool that you met Megan, also. And those flowers and how they are placed are stunning!
ReplyDeleteThat's an amazing dress and so perfect for the occasion. I wish someone would send me dresses they no longer want in the mail...

Oh wow Lydia thanks for the heads up and I must add: It looks marvellous !
ReplyDeleteIt never looked good on me but it looks like it was tailor made for YOU. It's so exciting to see that it got a new life - as I mentioned I purchased it but NEVER wore it - I tried it on several times but never made it out the door.
Would it be ok if i used a few of your pics in my blog and write a post about it?
First, you look stunning!! Second, that scene with those flowers hanging is absolutely gorgeous!! Looks like a gorgeous event.

Hope to see your Thursday for TBT Fashion link up.
Where do I even begin? The dress, the hanging flowers, the sunset - everything is absolutely perfect and just screams NYFW. Even if you're not able to go for all of the events, it always seems to me that you make the most of your time there (and use what is the perfect excuse to wear a truly fabulous dress - this one is to die for!) and that's what counts, not how many shows you go to or how exhausted you can say you are at the end of it :)

That dress is stunning on you, stunning!! These photos are gorgeous too, and it looks to me like it was a great experience! I bet hanging out with blogger buddies is more fun than hobnobbing with the fashion elite anyway :)
ReplyDeleteThat dress was made for you, no question!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great dress, and I loved the hanging flowers, reminds me of my friends summer wedding. It's a lot of fun going to those fashion events. Enjoy your autumn week. /Madison
