It may never pay my bills, grant me invitations to fashion shows, or afford me collaborations with notable designers, but this blog is so much more than I ever imagined it could be.

Each year that passes I am grateful for the people I have met, the fun events it does grant me invites to, and the amazing brands that do want to collaborate with me. In complete transparency, the little money I do earn from this blog affords me a few more sartorial purchases, and splurges, than I'd normally make.

Today marks seven years since Chic on the Cheap began. It's evolved a lot over the years, but some things have always remained the same; it gives me purpose, even during times when I feel I have none, it gives me motivation to get up and get dressed, even on days when I'd rather stay in bed, and it gives me friendships spanning the globe with everyone who takes the time to read and leave a comment.
