Transitioning to fall is one of the biggest challenges for me. You'd think I hadn't lived in New England my whole life! Now is always a good time to sift through my own archives and get outfit inspiration from what I've worn in the past.
Moving into the apartment is still on-going. Every time I go home I return with more things, and sooner than later I will run out of spaces to put them in. I'm slowly working on painting a secretary desk, which is now sanded and primed and finally ready to actually be painted next weekend.
I'd really like to take photos and share my new space, but there are still a few cardboard boxes that need to be taken care of!

Super cute look! My shorts have been packed away until next summer or a beach vacation, hoping for the latter. I can't wait to see your new place and would love to see how the desk turns out. We're thinking of painting our oak dresser white instead of purchasing a new one.
ReplyDeleteI love the look of shorts and a button down! This is such a cute transitional outfit!

It's so hard to let go of summer sometimes. Perfect transition look though with the shorts when the temps still haven't officially cooled off yet.

As I type this comment, at my parents' house in Manitoba, I'm looking out the window at pouring rain, bare trees and six degree temperatures (celsius, of course.) It's comforting, at times like these, to remember that summer wasn't that long ago and will come again soon, because I'm currently layering sweaters and slippers for a look that is decidedly unglamorous but suitable under the circumstances. But oh, how I wish I were wearing shorts and carrying fresh flowers in my bag instead!

The shirt and the pretzel necklace are my faves here !
ReplyDeleteOh and when you run out of space … is when the real editing begins. Its at the stage I am in.
That top is seriously adorable! I've never seen anything like it! Loving the tassels on your bag too!
ReplyDeleteI really like this look and can totally relate to reluctantly saying goodbye to summer. I have the same feeling every season and get so excited when spring rolls around once again. Looking forward to seeing how you decorate your apartment!
ReplyDeleteLovely running around outfit.

Totally love the swan shirt! Talbots usually come up with some of the prettiest pieces! And that knot necklace is just adorable. -R

I have a hard time transitioning too. It stays warm for SO long in the south, so even though I want to wear more fall-ish clothes, it will be miid 80s for a while… Such a cute look! Love that top!

Your top is so pretty! I never thought I had a tough time transitioning to fall until I started blogging. I used to wear whatever I wanted depending on the weather. Now, I sort of think about what everyone is posting (fall wear) and feel irrelevant when I post a summery outfit. Seems a bit silly but it does cross my mind.
