While I tried to do a good deal of my gift shopping online, there is something that is missed by not stepping to the brick and mortar stores. I love seeing all the Christmas decor; the lights, glitter, decked out trees and glistening shop windows. Then there is the gift wrap, ribbons, tags, all things I adore and tend to buy in abundance. Usually my desire to have a theme with my gift wrap goes out the window when I bring home half a dozen different papers I simply could not pass up. Cards, I've already mentioned, and just a reminder that I would love for you to exchange holiday cards with me!

It sounds like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. And I have to agree about visiting brick and mortar stores. While I love getting most of my actual shopping for gifts done online, I need to go to a b&m store at least a few times each season to see all the decorations and pick up the things that I need to see in order to choose, like wrapping paper, ribbons and gift tags. I should probably be doing that this week, come to think of it! I love how festive this outfit is, without being over the top - the red and white plaid always makes me think holiday, but in the best possible way :)

The box purse is very chic! It adds a great touch to the outfit and of course I'm loving the midi skirt.
ReplyDeleteLoving your festive outfit with the red and green accents! Thanksgiving was a wonderful break, but now I am looking forward to Christmas break even more!
ReplyDeleteLove the box purse super cute. You can't go wrong with a plaid top or midi skirt, perfect combo.
ReplyDeleteI'm all set to do all my shopping in a blaze of glory and frustration next week (having already done all my online orders). I even booked a vacation day so I can hit the stores on a Wednesday morning and hopefully save myself some grief. Because I actually do like Christmas shopping in the the stores - the atmosphere, etc - so I hoping to enjoy myself a bit with it this year!

I do love getting my shopping done online, but you're right about the charm of brick and mortar stores. I love this pretty, classic look--the pearls and the red shoes add such pretty touches!
ReplyDeleteI did a little online shopping too. Love your plaid with the red heels. Feels very festive!
