Previously I had a chair in my bedroom that became a dumping ground for everything. I thought that by eliminating the chair I'd be forced to deal with the clothes, but I was wrong. Instead they end up in piles on the closet shelf or on the bed (which means they will inevitably end up on the floor).
With nicer weather approaching, I also need to get all my summer dresses out of 'storage' aka my closet at my parent's house and find a way to incorporate them into my closet which is already at capacity.
I also want to mention once more that on Sunday I will be part of a fashion panel James Sanders put together for his stop at South Moon Under in Westport, CT on the Styled by James Tour. I hope to see some of you there!

ReplyDelete(Dang, I forgot to put the event in my calendar and a friend is supposed to be visiting this weekend...)

I like the cardi+blazer layering and of course the fedora.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure if you have any space - of course also depending on how many hats you own, but I have something similiar to this in my close that helped with the hats https://www.pinterest.com/pin/142144931958966069/
That fedora is far too cute to be left languishing in a pale, but sadly, I will admit that I totally understand how it happens. I am once again due for a major closet cleanup, and now that I am in a smaller place with less clothing storage, I can confirm what you already know - taking away the place you dumped your clothes does not make you deal with the clothes, it just makes you find somewhere new to dump them. I keep hoping I will figure out a way to sort this out one day, and if I do, you will be the first to know ;)

I actually did some Spring cleaning last weekend. I had piles of clothes everywhere. Good luck with your organizing and love the hat and outfit.
ReplyDeleteLooking at you, pulling off that fedora like it's just that easy (I would look so ridiculous if I tried that!). I just did a HUGE closet purge and feel so nice to have cleaned things out.

I was just thinking I need to go through my closet this weekend as well. Love your hat!

Oh this outfit is so much fun--I love every part of it! I really need to do the same thing and do some closet organizing myself...it's starting to become a disaster. Have fun at your panel this weekend too!
ReplyDeleteLove that fedora, what a great find! The whole outfit is amazing; the white tee goes perfectly with everything!

I know what you mean about a closet full he used! I also have to keep clothes in storage. I love this luck! I'm such a hat person and this looks great on you.
ReplyDeleteThe panel sounds exciting! And, that fedora is fabulous :)

I know that you aren't the only one in need of spring cleaning (points finger to self). What a great Friday find! You wear it well ;)

You layer so well! And that hat is awesome, glad you could find it and wear it again.
ReplyDeleteMy wardrobe is terribly overflowing too, definitely need to do something to downsize it again. Not sure how I'm going to fit my winter stuff in it when I pull it out of storage, although our hot temperatures are continuing so I don't have to worry about that for too long I guess.
Have fun on the fashion panel!

After spending two weeks away from home, shopping sites, and blogs, I found myself much less excited about clothes -- and very much ready to tackle the depths of my closet. Of course, that will change again in a few weeks when I go back to my clothes horse ways!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy that your hat resurfaced. It's adorable on you!
