I knew I made the right decision when I sat down on the lawn to play with my nephew and right into the spot of grass where someone had spilt their entire strawberry daiquiri. Even though I was soaking wet and stained pink, at least I wasn't wearing white!

Oh my goodness, you sat in an entire strawberry daiquiri?! Good thing you had changed before you left home, your poor eyelet dress would have been absolutely ruined! Gatherings with my family, although I attend very few of them because I live far from home, are always very casual and I'm usually the only person who is even a little bit dressed up - but that's my personality, so I think it works. But when sugary drinks and little kids are involved, casual is probably the safest bet!

Sounds like your outfit change was pretty perfectly timed -- I'm glad you avoided getting a nasty stain on your dress!

Bummer about the drink! I always find myself wishing I was in shorts or pants when playing with my nieces and nephews too. You still look so chic in those espadrilles!
