The show was great, I loved the set list, and our seats were close enough that every one on stage was bigger than a little speck. Naturally I would not have worn these heels had it been standing room only, but clearly they were meant to be worn with this dress. And since a random stranger complimented me on them, it made their maiden voyage all the better.
One other small accessory I had for the night was a pair of etymotic ear plugs. Again, you know I'm an old lady, and tinnitus for days is not something I enjoy. I know rock concerts are meant to be loud and I agree, that's part of the experience, but once the earplugs are in, I barely even feel like anything is missing, it's just a more reasonable volume. Let the ears of the youth ring; I'd much rather sleep soundly after I rock out.

You look SO nice in that dress - I would have never imagined you wore it to a Killers concert.
ReplyDeleteHOW AMAZING that you got to see them ! I'm listening to Mrs Brightside right now ;)
Oh and I had never heard of those ear plugs... I'd probably wear them too.
Meant to say MR ;)
ReplyDeleteI don't go to a lot of concerts - I'm tone deaf, and the experience of hearing songs played differently than I'm used to is, well, challenging since my brain already has so much trouble understanding them. The volume, on the other hand, has never really bothered me. It's so interesting how differently we all react to different things! I love this look for a concert, especially those heels. I never dare to wear pretty shoes to a concert when I do go because, well, people spill beer, but you're making me think that I should.

Heck...that's smart!! We even take our earplugs to the movies---it just seems so darn loud!
ReplyDeleteI love these shoes---I have the flat version and love them (although sometimes the fringe tickles my toes!!)

Oh that dress is soooo pretty! And great idea with the earplugs - I feel like I always lose a little bit of hearing at concerts :-/

Those dress really is made for those heels. Smart idea to wear ear plugs to bring down the noise level at concerts.
