I never imagined I'd be one to embrace a crop top, but somehow I got sucked into the draw of their cuteness and the ease of not having to worry about finagling the perfect half tuck. The gingham shorts are from my outlet trip, and I love the classic summery print. All the shorts at the Loft Outlet were on sale for only $15, and had the pair of chambray scalloped shorts been in my size, I would have snapped those up to, because I'm a scalloped hem addict.
I've also realized I only want to buy nude sandals this summer. Even though I've been wanting something bright and fun, when it comes down to the actual purchase I keep ending up with nude. This pair now makes three. Oops. But at least I got them at DSW, combined two coupons and a gift card and didn't have to spend a cent out of pocket. They are super comfortable and I'm wondering if it would be wrong to get them in black too.

Crop tops have come a very long way since we were teenagers. I wasn't really allowed to participate in the trend the first time around but with hindsight, I decided my mom was right not to let me - only to fall in love with cute eyelet crop tops this season. As much as I am a fan of the half tuck, which, when you get it right, can be so perfect, the ease of just throwing on a pretty crop top and going is endlessly appealing.
