For the occasion I wore a silk dress by Etro that I picked up during the summer sale at Roundabout last year - I think I missed the sale this year :(
The dress was a steal (I think about $125) and I was drawn to it because it was 1) silk and 2) made in Italy. Sadly this is only the second time I've worn it, the first being to a wedding last fall, which went undocumented. Hopefully I can sneak in another wear soon, because this dress is far too good to be stuffed in my closet 364 days a year.

Gorgeous dress Lydia, it looks beautiful - they just opened a Etro store here, I have not dared to enter.
ReplyDeleteAt a current approx 62 bucks per wear... it's not that bad because its such a nice dress that you do want to wear it for special events. Then again, like i do sometimes, I just wear stuff to finish them off (get them dirty enough) to wash or take to the dry cleaning.
That venue sounds really amazing - I wish I had known about it when I still in the area! And that's also a lovely dress for an event like that; you look amazing in it.

This dress is absolutely stunning, and definitely deserves more wear than it sounds like it's gotten! But there is something to be said for having special dresses that you hold onto for truly major occasions, and the baby shower for one of your oldest friends certainly is one of them. And what an absolutely gorgeous location for a baby shower! I admit that I have opened their website in another tab so I can take a look :)

What a gorgeous dress!! I love the drape of it, but also how the tie-waist adds structure. So pretty, and so is the scenery!

Not gonna lie, that kid statue with flower hair coming out from the door is hella creepy. But. Other than that, this place looks very cute. I hope you had a wonderful time at the shower--you look gorgeous as always!
