If I was supposed to be shopping for fall this month, I guess I didn't get the memo.
I also did all my shopping online, which is somewhat unusual for me, I'm a tactile shopper, shopping as much with my hands as my eyes. But having package arrive in the mail felt like the only way I could motivate myself to get through the days, so as soon as one would arrive, I'd find something else to buy. A Kate Spade dress I didn't know I wanted, a vintage bamboo bag (I admit I've had a bit of a crush on them since they started cropping up, but I knew if I got one I'd want vintage rather than the Cult Gaia reproduction). P.S. you can find a similar reproduction here for $60, and a vintage one here.
Banana Republic Lace Skirt, $37
White Off the Shoulder Dress, $20 via Poshmark
Zebra Print Dress, $30 via Poshmark
Kate Spade Japanese Floral Julep Silk Dress, $90 via Poshmark
Vintage Japanese Bamboo Handbag, $60 via eBay
Old Navy Black Shirt Dress, $26
Total = $263

I love that skirt. It's such a gorgeous color! And I actually do the majority of my shopping online. I really dislike going to the mall!

Great pieces, love a great shirtdress and that bamboo bag is adorable.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you are shopping for the upcoming summer ? Like you, I prefer to see and touch and try on stuff.
ReplyDeleteOh I've been seeing those bamboo bags in several blogs and via Insta however as much as I like them I am not good with bags that are see through.. I have waaaaay too much crap in my bags.
The feeling you described is one I know all too well - I tend to shop online a lot in the winter (although to be fair it is my preferred method of shopping, anyway, because I hate fitting rooms) when the days are long and the only thing there seems to be to look forward to is the daily mail delivery. As for shopping in season, September is the best time to shop for summer I've always found - you just have to hope you still love what you've bought next year!

I've definitely been lusting after that Cult Gaia bag. I've shopped for the first time in a long time and would love a similar off the shoulder dress!
ReplyDeleteAwesome picks, love it. :)

I prefer to shop in store if possible too, but I have been doing more online while pregnant. You found some great things!

Looks like you got some great pieces! I like to shop in-store too, but sometimes it is nice to just click a button and receive a present in the mail a few days later :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!

I'm scared a midi dress would make my short-ish legs look shorter, but every time I see that black ON shirt dress I think how cute it would be with heeled booties. Plus, the heel should help with the short legs thing, right?! So so cute!
ReplyDeleteI am in love with that Kate Spade dress! It's darling and you really got it for a steal! Great items this month!
ReplyDeleteThat red skirt!!!!! So beautiful...

You may not have been shopping for fall, but it looks like a lot of what you did get will transition well, like that shirt-dress and the lace skirt (which I LOVE by the way!). And the Kate Spade dress is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThat bamboo handbag is amazing!
ReplyDeleteThat lace dress is so pretty and I'm obsessed with your bamboo handbag!

I love the texture of that lace skirt!
ReplyDeleteI'm finally making time this week to catch up on blogs! I was so excited to see that bamboo purse pop up on your list and I'm thrilled you snagged a vintage one. I didn't have the patience to wait for a vintage version myself. ;-)
ReplyDeleteEven though you didn't shop for fall, these are all such pretty pieces that you'll look forward to wearing next year, too.
