So long summer

I don't much care for fall. This is a very difficult position to take, as every other person in the northern hemisphere is currently over the moon, gleefully layering on sweaters and hats, even if the temperatures are still climbing to 80° by mid afternoon.

I find it hard to love fall because all I can think about are the days getting shorter, the impending holidays, and the inevitable, painfully long, cold winter which will follow. Maybe someday I'll learn to live in the present and enjoy fall. Until then, I'm going to dress like it's summer before the cold actually hits.

    Haha, yea, you just have to forget that Winter is Coming (had to capitalize for Game of Thrones ;) ) and enjoy the crips weather and smells and pretty leaves! :D

    I've been dressing like it's summer all month, although it definitely hasn't been since I got back to Vancouver - it was all of 14 degrees celcius the other day and I still went out in a sleeveless top because, well, how many more chances will I have. And I love fall, I really do. But the last days of summer are precious. I never did find my maxi dress this season and I'm sad it will have to wait another year because this one is so perfect on you!

    Summer is officially over- but KC is still in the 90s, haha. I want to wear my sweaters, but that isn't happening anytime soon.

    I 100% agree with your sentiments toward fall. I love when the leaves change to golden yellow and sometimes it is fun to wear a sweater that I forgot I loved . . . that is as far as it goes. Loving your maxi with the hat!

    Adore this maxi! I totally know how you feel. While I love fall, it depresses me to think that winter is right behind. And we know how that goes in the Northeast. I think we've got a few more weeks of heat!

    I love fall style but I hate the shorter days. I dread having to think about taking my blog photos by 3pm because it gets to dark! But I'm loving this black maxi dress with the hat. So chic!

    I love this dress and your panama hat! It's still pretty darn warm here so I'm trying to enjoy it, but I really do enjoy Fall. Football, cooler weather, festivals... there are lots of fun things in Fall! ;)

    I have to admit, I love fall, but I dress in clothing according to the weather. We have enough cold weather where I live I need to get my warmer weather clothing in as much as possible!

    Ha, I actually kind of love that you don't love fall Lydia. I don't know if it's just me, or what, but to me the whole fall obsession has gotten out of control. I don't remember it being such a big deal several years ago, but then again maybe I was out of the loop. Don't get me wrong, I do like fall--I like the layers and the cooler weather (I'm not a huge fan of summer's heat) and the coziness. But I'm not lining up to buy PSLs (which I don't like) on September 1. Spring is the season I get the most excited about...when winter is OVER. :)
