The plaid shirt is out. I think this has to be one of my most worn button down shirts. The colors are perfect, it's short enough to wear untucked without looking sloppy, and thin enough to be easily layered under sweaters. For a J.Crew Factory purchase I think I paid more than I would have liked to at the time, but I know I've spent far more on pieces I've worn much less. I'm checking out this season's offerings to see if my new favorite might be there (and generally shopping way too much, again).
I've never been a big plaid shirt person, which probably makes me a bad Canadian, but I do feel strongly that not all plaids are created equal, and when it comes to plaid shirts, this is one of the most perfect ones I've ever seen - the pattern is subtle while still being perfectly plaid, the colours all work together without overwhelming the white, and most importantly, it matches your gorgeous red Coach bag which remains one of my absolute favourite things in your wardrobe, season after season. xox, Cee
I still don't own a plaid shirt, haha. But I don't think it would get worn as much as other pieces in my closet, so probably a good thing. http://www.closet-fashionista.com/
love this! I am just getting in to plaid shirts and have a new one from Madewell, you've inspired me to wear it tomorrow me thinks! You look great (as always!) the heels really dress the shirt up!XX
This is such a perfect fall look. I think that's a great plaid shirt, and if you're going to spend a little more on a shirt I think one like that is definitely worth it--it's a classic!
I love a good plaid shirt for fall - it really does feel perfectly seasonal.

ReplyDeleteI feel like all trends are valid right now, which is kinda good but then I am confused.

Plaid is just the best thing, all year round, season after season after season. Or so it is in my books, anyway :)
