I know the saying is 'measure twice, cut once', but I just chopped a solid four inches off this dress and hoped for the best!

I always find getting the hem on maxis tricky - and I can't believe how nice and sunny it still is there!

Beautiful look! I love all of your accessories. I always run into trouble with my maxi dresses showing too much ankle when I wear heels :-/

Quite tricky indeed--especially for us shorter girls. I love the length of this one and I love the color on you! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI think you did well! That dress looks like it's the perfect length now. I love the color and pretty print!
ReplyDeleteLove this dress. Length is perfect and the print is lovely!

Love this outfit on you and the dress is just perfect.
ReplyDeleteGetting the right maxi length is a huge challenge and, quite frankly, a big part of the reason I usually avoid this length of dress entirely - I do not have any sewing skills to speak of, so hemming at home isn't an option for me. You did so well cutting this dress down that I have to admit I'm pretty envious - having a maxi you can wear with heels and flats must be fabulous!

Well, you got it just right ! and if you didn't just add pom poms to the hem ;)
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend.
That is the perfect length for wearing with flats - you did well! :) I can't hem myself at home (although I've used hemming tape a few times to mixed results....so I'm impressed you can do it! This is a beautiful dress too :)
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great start to the weekend :)

This dress has very nice movement and I think it turned out great! You're so right that maxi length can be tough. I'm not so talented at sewing and usually end up stepping on the hem of mine :(
ReplyDeleteThat dress is so pretty! Love the front slit :)
ReplyDeleteI'd say that's a good length! Love the larger scale print

Well it turned out better than if I had done it and measured 4 times! Love the color and print too!
ReplyDeleteThat is so true. I have tried my luck a few years back to find a perfect maxi yet I didn't found and a quit. I always love to see how other wear maxi. Your dress is lovely and looks gorgeous on you with flats, I think it's very hard to pull off.
