Life brings me only good experiences. I am open to new and wonderful changes.
When it's 18° out, I try to build my outfits around my outerwear. I have an abundance of cold weather accessories that probably don't get as much wear as they should, so I dug out these cute furry leopard mittens and fur scarf.
I'll admit to being fixated on having a pair of furry mittens that I featured in one of my gift guides, even though I knew I had these, (which I hardly ever wear) I had to talk myself out of clicking purchase probably a dozen times. I know it's going to be hard to get out of my bad shopping habits, but I'm hopeful that I will be successful with my shopping ban and then I can work on having a closet full of items which get constantly appreciated and worn.
Love those mittens! And I know what you mean, its so hard not to shop! I'm getting all the end of season sale emails and am so tempted! Just checked Barneys Warehouse and luckily nothing caught my eye. Still a few things in my Net-a-Porter cart though...

I am obsessed with those mittens and may need to get myself a pair! You look so chic for the cold weather and snow! I love that camel coat! Good luck with your shopping ban, I am trying to work my way up to one as well!

I LOVE those mittens! I once read that mittens are so much better for you than gloves so ever since then I have been on the lookout for a cute pair!
ReplyDeleteAs far as the shopping ban, I think people always do amazing when forced to shop their own closet and really see what they have and think creatively. You'll rock this!

I love those mittens---and I had to laugh at your words, Lydia! My husband tells me much of the time when I like something, that I already have something like it in my closet.
ReplyDeleteMy theory is that is the reason we like it---because we already have it!!
I'm trying to be better about restraint too---it's been 12 days and I haven't purchased any clothing---woohoo!!

Those mittens are too cute! I only have a pair of boring black fleece ones, but printed mittens are definitely a step up. :)

I was scrolling through my Bloglovin' feed this morning when your post caught my eye and I instantly fell in love with the combination of camel coat, fur accessories and suede bag. Everything about this is so perfect, I really wish I could figure out a way to transport all of the pieces to my own closet - because, like you, I definitely don't need anything new, I pretty much have one of everything (or ten, if we're talking jeans and sweaters.)

This is such an appealing look, the colors are so welcoming. I don't think I had seen those mittens before.
ReplyDeleteTwelve days into the ban, yesterday I entered a thrift store at lunch and even dared to try something on... luckily the fit was terrible.
You look so cute all bundled up (and I love the mittens!). My scarf and mitts seem so blah in contrast to how cute yours are.

Such a warm and comfy look for winter!

You manage too look cozy and warm, yet so chic, which is what I'm always going for this time of year but have a hard time doing. For some reason, I have a hard time spending money on winter accessories, so I don't have a lot to choose from. Usually I'm desperately looking for a pair of gloves after winter has already started!
