I constantly remind myself to enjoy all the good I have in my life right now.
I always find the mentality of the warm winter day a bit comical, to look around you might think it were August - women wearing sundresses and sandals with no coat, every convertible in town driving around, and the line at Milkcraft wrapped around the building, even after sunset - save for the fact that the ground is covered in snow.
Naturally I took a more practical approach, longsleeve silk blouse, knit skirt (another fall purchase getting its very first wear), light jacket, and even tights!
I won't deny that a little part of me did want to get ice cream, but I can wait. Spring is coming.

Ooh that coat is so pretty! Love this look!
ReplyDeleteAnd yea, I saw a girl wearing jean shorts at the grocery store...ummm NOPE!
(I eat ice cream year round so that one doesn't but me so much, haha)

LOVE this coat and all the scallops! It was so nice this weekend, but definitely not convertible weather. I guess people got overly excited on the first warm days :)

When I lived somewhere colder, I always had a laugh on the first day of spring-like weather when people would put their shorts and t-shirts on, even though it was only about ten degree celsius. I do know it's easy to get excited about warm weather after a long, snowy winter, but personally, I'd rather take a page from your book and wear a trench with ballet flats than a sundress in February!

This weather has been crazy! We're definitely in for an early Spring. Gorgeous jacket/coat and I love your scalloped clutch Lydia. Beautiful outfit.

This weather is so crazy but I'm loving the Spring like temps! Super cute look, love the jacket.
ReplyDeleteI adore that jacket - it sort of screams "spring" to me too (not sure why, the stripes just seem so lighthearted and fun). The weather in my area has been very weird lately - one day it's -20 and then a few days later it's been +5.

One of my favorite looks of yours!! I just LOVE the mix of black and white, the stripes, and the pretty scallop detail.

I adore this coat on you. And this bag is so great to transition to spring. Come on warm weather!

That coat is gorgeous and perfect for spring! I tend to be a bit more cautious with my clothing when the weather warms up too. You've found the perfect balance between taking advantage of the warmer weather while still being practical!
ReplyDeleteWe had spring like weather this weekend too, it was such a nice treat! I love that jacket--it looks like it goes with everything, yet the stripes make it really fun.
ReplyDeleteWe've been calling it bipolar!! The weather that is!! ha ha
ReplyDeleteBut with a coat like that, I might even wear it during a snowstorm---it's fabulous!

Oh there is something in this look that totally reminds me of Blaire Waldorf... I love it !
ReplyDeleteFabulous coat on you. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteIt is so strange the way our weather is, definitely ever-changing. Just a couple hours ago I was taking photos and it went from sunny to super windy to rainy with wind within the 10-15 minutes I shot there. There is something aristocratic school-girlish in this look and I love it. You must wear ballet flats more often. =) Your new coat is gorgeous!
