What a poor blogger I am to not have an appropriately Valentine's themed outfit for you today! Over the years I've come to downplay Valentine's, as it would seem the trend is based on the number of posts from other bloggers I've seen showing off a sexy dress but following that up with the sentiment that they might wear that dress, if they were actually going to go out for Valentine's Day.
Since Sean will be spending the evening helping other couples to have romantic dinners, this year I thought it might be fun (or crazy) to go out to breakfast before I have to leave for work, I'm not sure it will be a new tradition in the making though.

I think going out for breakfast is a really fun idea - even if it is a work day ;) Breakfast is our favourite meal to go out for, however we both started our days at 6 am today, so that's not on the cards for us this year. Valentine's Day isn't a big celebration for us; it's something I really prefer to spend with friends, because the truth is, there are so many different kinds of love and as couples, we get lots of other opportunities to celebrate through out the year :) xox, Cee
It's nice to show reality, Lydia!! In fact, I'm wearing green & white today for my morning meeting!! But my husband came down in his red shirt, so maybe I'll change to my heart leggings that I just won from LuLaRoe for when he comes home!! jodie www.jtouchofstyle.com
I hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day breakfast! I much prefer making my own plans and traditions as it feels much more special than celebrating the same way as everyone else!
I think that would make for a pretty great new tradition! My husband and I never, ever seem to do anything for Valentine's - our anniversary is February 25 so we just focus on that.
I think a Valentine's Day breakfast sounds like a great idea! I hope you had a great time. We rarely do anything on actual Valentine's Day, although we used to always stay in and cook something. That dress looks so cozy and it's so cute too!
Going out for breakfast is a nice way to celebrate! I think that Valentine's day, like any other 'special day' should be your own traditions, no matter what they are. I've only been out on Valentine's day a handful of times, hubby and I prefer more low key dates too so this is more inspiring to me than the glam yet impractical dresses you see a lot of on blogs at this time, hehe.
I LOVE the idea of doing a breakfast. Adam and I doing a lunch most years actually, as it's so much easier than going out for dinner when we have kiddos involved. Plus, our girl loves being with her dad anyway. A win/win!
I didn't really do a traditional VDay look either because I didn't do anything that special on VDay. But I like your idea of a VDay breakfast. I also really like your Banana Republic bag.

This outfit is rich, beautiful, chic and adorable. Love the sweater dress and coat. And I like your new tradition. This year I did an early lunch/late breakfast with my daughter and I kind of want to make it a yearly thing on February 14th. =)
Such a cozy look for Vday! I made up a fake outfit post for today ;) But it's not super out there, haha

A Valentine's breakfast sounds fun! We're definitely not big Valentine's day people. I never get dressed up to go to do anything extravagant!
