Herringbone Vest

I always have the power to choose the most optimistic outlook.

I was just lamenting that it is only Thursday and not Friday. After an abbreviated week last week, this one is feeling long. But at least I'm not missing anymore work due to my unpleasant cold and the day before Friday is still pretty good. Plus today is my Mom's birthday, so there will be cake.

I know it will take an exceedingly large amount of effort, but I need to work on changing my mindset to focus more on positive things and dwell less on the negative.

    Happy birthday to your mum! I'm glad you're feeling better too, and I like your layering with this vest. It's funny, I'm wearing a vest today but it's a lightweight one as it's still so hot here. I have also had to double check today is Thursday and not Friday quite a few times, not sure why!

    It's almost Friday and there will be cake - that sounds pretty good to me. But as someone who has worked in offices for many years, I know it's sometimes difficult to focus on those positive things and mindset changes, even if they do work, never work 100% of the time. In life, there will always be Thursdays that aren't quite Friday yet and as long as, ultimately, you aren't hating your life, it's okay not to be sunshine and rainbows all the time, too ;)

    Ugh I know how you feel. I pretty much spend my week counting the days until Friday (but that is pretty much everyone right??) I need to focus on positive things each day. Love that vest. And enjoy the cake! That sounds delicious right about now...
