The Jeweled Sandals

One of the greatest challenges of packing for any trip is the footwear. As the best way to sight see is by foot, I will inevitably be doing a significant amount of walking, but if there is one thing I can not stand, it's trading cute shoes for comfortable shoes.

Thankfully I have these darling jeweled espadrilles (I'm pretty sure I bought them because Jessica posted them, so thanks Jessica) and they strike the perfect compromise between being cute enough to pair with a dress, while still being flat and comfortable to spend a day walking in.

    That's exactly my conundrum Lydia!! There's no way I want ugly shoes---but travelling usually means so much walking.
    It does make me glad for the cute sneakers that I'm seeing---at least I can put my orthodics in those!

    White is fab with your hair and skin tone.
    The dress, the shoes everything looks impeccable and I am sure I have said it before, but I love seeing a well dressed tourist, they are rare birds.

    The challenge you've just described is exactly why I always travel with emergency flats. Yes, the result is that my handbag is a little bit heavier. But there is nothing that puts a damper on a travel day like sore feet. I imagine it's not so bad in Miami but Paris is incredibly hard on shoes, so I am also hesitant to wear my cute my favourites for too long when we're out because they get ruined so quickly here - my go-to pair of flats may not last until the end of May! I guess what I'm saying is don't bring these jewelled sandals if and when you come to Paris, but I think they were a perfectly beautiful choice for Miami and they pair so well with that white dress!

    And yep, travel footwear is the worst!! I want to bring all my heels for cute outfits, but walking 10 miles in a day (like I did last weekend) is not conducive for that. Luckily cute flats & sandals can be found everywhere! If they're comfortable to walk in is the next issue, haha

    Such a cut look! So beachy. Makes me ready for summer. I tend to pack 900 pairs of shoes and then realize nothing goes with any of them. I am a horrible packer.

    It can be so hard finding a pair of cute and comfortable flats sometimes, especially when you're on holiday, you want shoes you know that work! :)
