Over the weekend we finally made it out to Lavender Pond Farm in Killingworth, CT, though unfortunately we were a bit early and the lavender fields weren't yet in bloom. I wasn't too disappointed however, since the area was still quite lovely, we shopped the lavender gift shop, and the resident "Lavendoodle" Flora was there. I always feel like I'm cheating on Chloe whenever I take photos with another dog, but I suppose she will never know. Saturday turned out to be a little sunny oasis in the constant barrage of rainy days we've been having, and that seem likely to continue through this week. It's June and somehow it still feels like April.
That cracked me up that you'd be "cheating" on Chloe--ha ha!! Although our kitties give us the sniff when we've been playing with other cats and dogs too!! Love your dress, Lydia!! Jodie www.jtouchofstyle.com
Even though the lavender fields weren't yet in bloom, this really does look like the most charming spot to visit - and Flora is adorable (although, of course, not as cute as Chloe! Though you're right, she probably won't ever know you had another dog in your photos.) I love seeing this beautiful dress every time it makes an appearance, and what a perfect choice for a visit to a floral location, the print just seems made for it! xox, Cee
These photos and your outfit are SO pretty!! We're also planning on visiting our local lavender farm and can't wait! As for meeting other dogs?! Oh man, haha, me too! I always feel like I'm cheating on Scout - dog mom guilt!! xo
The dress you are wearing is so lovely - would have looked gorgeous with the lavender in bloom. Maybe it just means you will have to go back in a week or two.
Yes, these photos still turned out quite lovely. I went to a lavender farm once and everything was in bloom, which meant everyone was there. It was super crowded.
Gorgeous photos and even though it's been raining where you live, this day looks pretty darn perfect! I wish it would rain here but I guess that's how it goes. I love that hat! Your accessories are great too.
Great post! Love your outfit, the dress is so stunning! Thanks for sharing :)
