Sleeveless Sweater Weather

Later this week we will be marking the first day of fall, but I'm enjoying our little heatwave at the moment - it feels good to have the windows open and the fan on. I'm not always sure where pieces like sleeveless sweaters really fit into my wardrobe, but hopefully I'll find some great ways to layer it up as the days grow colder.

    Sleeveless sweaters are one of those funny pieces that I find myself endlessly attracted to - I've had more of them than I can count over the years, starting with a mauve one when I was about fifteen - but never seem to find much time to wear. The sleeveless sweater season is far too short, as far as I'm concerned, but obviously I'm biased because they're a style I like a lot. I have a black one right now that I don't get to wear nearly enough. It's a much heavier (and thus even less practical) knit than yours, which I also love. It's already started to feel like what I'm used to winter being like here, so I've dived straight into sweaters with sleeves, but I'm crossing my fingers for a few more warm days before the season officially ends.

    I just wore my sleeveless sweater dress last week because it's the perfect weather for them now! I remember when this style came out many years ago, and I thought it was silly!! I'm glad I've gotten smarter..ha ha!!

    I'm glad you're getting a last kick of summer before the fall really sets in - and I could see that sleeveless sweater being a pretty good layering piece when it gets cool enough that you need your arms covered. It would be great with a blazer.

    I think that sleeveless sweaters are hilarious but also so practical in such a weird way! I love them for layering in these transitions!

    That sleeveless sweater will look great underneath a jacket too! And perhaps a scarf? I like pieces like this because they don't add bulk under layers.

    Love your denim skirt! It's still been pretty hot here in NC, today was 85 degrees! As much as I love summer, I always look forward to Fall. Something about the crisp air, and and changing leaves. If we could just have Spring, Summer, and Fall as seasons I'd be happy!
