As prevalent as velvet has been these past couple years, velvet shoes haven't really been on my radar. Then I was scrolling through my Pinterest feed and saw a pair of pink velvet pumps. And I was smitten. Suddenly everything velvet was calling to me. I still haven't found the perfect pink velvet heels that aren't by a designer and thus far too out of my budget, especially for something as impractical as pink velvet, however I have found some fun, budget friendly shoes to tempt myself with all the same.
Velvet Pom Pom Flats, $25 at Old Navy
Pink Velvet Booties, $56 at Aldo
Jewel Badgley Mischka Velvet Mules, $55 at DSW
Teal Velvet Pointed Toe Pumps, $35 at Macy's
Velvet Bow Mules, $34 at Kohl's
Velvet Block Heels, $54 at Loft
Betsy Johnson Velvet Sandal, $45 at DSW
Teal Velvet Ankle Booties, $48 at ASOS
Velvet Ballerina Flats, $40 at Zara
What a great selection!

I've always wanted more pairs of velvet shoes (I have a pair of blue velvet smoking slippers that I absolutely just adore) but I'm always afraid to get more and in lighter colours because I might ruin them. But at the right price point I could be persuaded to get over that fear.

I don't need anything else in my closet right now, but those velvet flats from Zara are SO tempting!

Velvet shoes are as lovely as they are impractical and honestly, at this point, I saw practicality be damned - I want them all. I would happily add both black pairs from this selection, as well as those beautiful grey mules, to my closet in a heartbeat. And I admit to being smitten with the gold-heeled pink ankle boots, too!

Oh those teal velvet ankle boots are incredible! I love the velvet trend, but I think on shoes it would be hard to care for properly so I haven't done anything more than been tempted slightly by them, haha.
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a lovely weekend! We are getting our family Santa photo done tomorrow, gotta get a move on with my Christmas cards, haha! :)

Oh my gosh, SWOONING, over all of these velvet shoes. And can't believe the velvet/pom pom ones are from Old Navy they are so darling!! Plus, I must say it's so refreshing seeing a wish-list with shoes that aren't all $800+!! xo

Beautiful shoes! I've been eyeing velvet shoes lately, but I'm worried about getting them dirty. Snow is coming.
ReplyDeleteThey're all lovely! Since its booties season, I'd pick Teal Velvet Ankle Booties. Love the elegance of the style and the color.
