Since temps have been steadily dropping, I've finally had to pull out all my boots, and I must say that I love my over the knee boots paired with a skirt. They are like having a secret weapon in my mission to avoid wearing tights. The extra few inches of leather do make a difference in overall warmth, plus tall, thick socks can be worn underneath.
While the combo isn't something I'd wear for the office, it's perfect for my weekend wandering.

Love how you've worn the skirt and boots together - both as such a perfect length! :) I'd love to get a pair of OTK boots but don't think I'd have much luck being petite! I just admire the look on others instead :)
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great weekend! We had our family Santa photo taken and I knocked a few more gifts off my list, starting to try get organised for Christmas!

I love this look Lydia!!! Thanks so much for collaborating with me and my moms!!
ReplyDeleteI bet one of these days, you can wear these boots to work, especially with a longer skirt, because you might not be able to tell that they are OTK??

This outfit combination is so perfect. I love the mix of neutrals and the color of your boots!

Over the knee boots and skirts have definitely been a favourite look of mine for the past few seasons. I have only one pair of OTK boots, so I made sure it goes with everything and whenever I want to wear a skirt but it's really too cold for it, I just add my boots and I'm done. To be honest, I'm not even sure I own tights anymore, ha ha. That will probably change this year, as Winnipeg is a lot colder than Vancouver, but still, I'm hopeful :)

The last time I wore my OTK boots, I wore them with a skirt, so I'm digging this look. Really like your bag as well.

I wear my over the knee boots all the time in the winter (the bonus of being able to wear really warm and thick socks underneath is the best!) - I love the pair you have, they look really cozy.

I am so with you--anything I can do to put off tights-wearing just a little longer. I love this combination--the boots give the classic sweater + skirt combo a modern touch.
ReplyDeleteNice !
ReplyDeleteI tried on a very similar pair of boots last weekend and even thought they were on super sale I decided to pass... ended up buying 7 pairs.
It's funny I was just reading Jodie's blog about over the knee boots! Love this neutral one you are wearing and it works perfectly with your bag.

You really can never go wrong with over-the-knee boots on fall. Lovely sweater dear!

So, I just bought my 1st pair of OTK boots and was on the fence about them. I came back to read both your post about styling them and feel a little better. They are definitely a fashion fear for me, but hoping to face the fear and look fierce while doing so!

In love with these OTK boots, they look pretty chic with the rest of clothes. What I like the most about them, they automatically make any woman look sophisticated, no matter if you wear preppy clothes or dressy ones. Yes, it means, they can be worn with absolutely anything you like. I made an article, about different over the knee boots you can try in 2018, so, please, check it: http://stylefavourite.com/best-over-the-knee-boots-to-wear-this-2018/ Hope you will find some pretty cool ideas to get inspired by. Anyway, thanks for your post and these cool shots, very inspiring!
