A Touch of Tushe

Consider this part two of my blogger photoshoot in New Haven - while I hadn't planned two outfits, one woman runs an online boutique, Touch of Tushe, and she had brought along several pieces from her store which we got to style, as best we could with what we had. Honestly, it all worked out quite well.

I chose this cozy camel tunic sweater, which worked perfectly with my black jeans and red shoes. Even though the sun was mostly set and we had nowhere to change, I'm pretty sure a quick change in the backseat of a car is pretty familiar territory for most style bloggers, and these white marble columns did an impressive job of making the most of the lingering light (not to mention a bumped up ISO and a full stop increase in Lightroom).

I do hope more New Haven photoshoot meetups are in my future, there is something special about shoots with other bloggers, when you can just wholly embrace what you are doing. And they just get it.

  3. A quick change in the back of a car - or under a bridge in Paris on a quiet day, or in a cafe bathroom - is most definitely familiar territory, ha ha! In some moments it seems insane and in others, it really just seems like a matter of course. Considering that I have literally swapped entire outfits in public, from jeans and a t-shirt to a dress, while just hoping no one would walk by, swapping one sweater for another in the back of a car seems totally reasonable. And what a lovely sweater this is! I'm always on the hunt for good camel pieces, especially knits - they are not as easy to find as one might expect.

  4. This makes me think back on all the weird places I've done quick outfit swaps (I think in some bushes on the side of a road might be my favourite). And I love that camel piece; it looks so comfy and chic.

And taking photos with others is so much better. At least when we are all together we make each other laugh and be silly...otherwise we feel strange!!
