The bar was closed to everyone but the twenty or so bloggers, so it was nice to feel like we could snap photos, rearrange furniture, and enjoy the space without worrying about intruding on any other guests. For my cocktail, I had The Business, a simple gin drink with lemon and honey. When it comes to cocktails, I always just go for whichever one has gin, and I've yet to be let down by that method.
It turned out to be another spring-like day, and I decided I needed to pull out this floral midi dress while I could. I also decided to pull out my Jeffrey Campbell platform sandals. If you were reading my blog (or any blog) back in 2010 you might remember they were the trendy blogger must have at the time. They had a good run before other shoes usurped their coveted spot in my closet around 2013, but I never let them go. Now it seems the platforms are rising in popularity again and I thought it would be fun to pull them out again. Gosh I missed being that tall!

They are such fun shoes, and they are so perfect with your dress! It's great you kept holding onto them, they are still so stylish now all these years later!
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a nice week so far! We had a day off yesterday which was lovely, although not as relaxing as I hoped when you have two kids at home, haha! :)
Away From The Blue Blog
I remember these Jeffrey Campbell sandals - and the boots that debuted the same year - so well! I never did get my own pair; in fact, I didn't try Jeffrey Campbell shoes myself until years later, when I discovered, much to my surprise, just how comfortable they are. But none of the pairs I've had had stood the test of time - I sometimes wonder if I part with things I'm not wearing too quickly, because it would be so fun to have a pair of sandals from 2010 to pull out again. And these ones couldn't be lovelier with your floral dress. What a perfect outfit a day of cocktails and photos. I watched your fun at Conspiracy on Instagram over the weekend and must admit to being a bit envious ;)

What a fun event! And that bar... whoa, what a showstopper. I love those shoes with that dress!! I do remember when those were all the rage and I think I may still have a similar knock-off pair. Maybe I'll have to pull them out! (If I can still walk in them...)
