Maxi

I love a good maxi dress. While this one really does need to be altered, it manages to check the box of looking like I put in a lot of effort, while still being the most comfortable thing I could possibly have on. I picked this one up at one of many Gaps my sister and I stopped in while we were doing our Gap tour of coastal California. I mean our road trip down the Pacific Coast Highway. But in all honesty, we stopped in way too many Gaps along the way, and both ended up with black knit maxi dresses, which were perfect for those long car rides and the still chilly June air. Hard to believe that was already two years ago.

    I love it when Chloe makes an appearance in your photos, even when she looks like she's totally not into it :) And while I love the idea of a good black maxi dress, the reality is that I mostly trip myself whenever I wear long dresses, no matter how many times I try again, thinking I'll be most careful this time. So I'll just live vicariously through you in yours. I love the way it looks with your pink moto jacket!

    I love your alternate titling of your trip - and this dress definitely looks like you put a lot of effort into this look (it looks great paired with that jacket) so it's a nice bonus that it's actually a pretty casual piece.

    The pink moto jacket is splendid... and you know I love a good Chloe shot :) even though she does not seem to be happy.
    I've been getting rid of my maxi dresses, it seems like nothing looks good on me these days.
