Courtney encouraged me to sit in the grass, probably not something I've ever done in my blog photos before. I might even go so far as to say I've got a little grass phobia (or at least paranoia over grass stains). However the seated photos are by far my favorites of this bunch, which proves that sometimes it's nice to have someone else behind the camera with a different view.

You know, I'd never thought of it, but now that you mention it, I don't know if I can recall ever seeing you sit in photos! Since you take many of them yourself, I imagine getting into a stand position while maneuvring a tripod is enough work, never mind sitting down after you've set everything up. But personally, I love the look of seated photos and these ones are no exception - you look so beautiful and natural and relaxed :)

It's totally great to have someone behind the camera checking out different angles. I saw a blogger sitting once and thought we should do that. So when it's possible, I love to give that angle too!!

I rarely sit down in photos, either- but you look so relaxed + cool doing so! I love those jeans with the flats- easy + comfy and so chic!

I love the sitting photos too! Sometimes it's nice to switch things up a bit!

I love her suggestion that you sit in the grass for some of these, it looks so relaxing and peaceful there and the seated pose definitely fits with that.

Ooh, just love the photo of you sitting and the orchard just blends into the background! So lovely. I need to try out hats again, yours looks great with your top!

What a great look! Love that hat! I always have to buy a new one every year. It always gets flattened!

I have to agree, the pictures seated on the grass are out of your usual style and totally rock. Looking beautiful my friend.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE the one of you sitting down! Isn't it funny how after years and years of us having photos taken a specific way how scary/awesome it is to try a different angle!
ReplyDeleteThey are lovely photos, it's great you followed your friend's advice! I find it so hard to pose for photos myself, so it's tricky to tell others how to pose, haha!
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely outfit too, I really like that pretty printed top with your jeans :)
Hope that you are having a great week :) We have a birthday party this weekend so I'm just taking a little break from the preparations to read some blogs before I get back to getting organised! :)

These are really cute photos and your outfit is perfect for this setting. Love those light blue mules - so pretty with the laser cut details!

Love the photos, it is fun to change it up. Don't forget to come link up over at A Labour of Fashion my Thursday Link
ReplyDeleteI love the sitting down shots too! I never think to do that (although I'm sure I'd worry about getting dirty too). I love that pretty top--it looks great now but the dark color would make it work in the fall too!
ReplyDeleteLoving the simplicity and practicality of this style, really perfect for the season. Cute bag you got there too dear!

Beautiful bag! Love how it's either lined or how you self-lined it. Love these open cut bags but don't like everyone seeing all my junk.
