The fact that it's the last day of July is kind of getting me down. Is it too much to ask for the summer to stretch on forever? I know there is still August, but it always gets tainted by everyone jumping ship and switching to fall.
This month I made a small attempt to clean out my closet. I had every intention of sending a box to Swap.com, but they weren't accepting inbound packages. Same with ThredUP, so I decided to just start listing things on eBay, and so far, it's been great. I've only listed a dozen things so far, but half have sold and I've made $80 before eBay's fees.
July seemed to be the month of sales. As in, constantly, and at increasingly steeper discounts. Temptation beckoned from every corner of the internet, and in the brick and mortar world as well. I did my best to resist, but here is what I ended up succumbing to.
Ann Taylor Woven Mule Sandals, $45
Loft Off The Shoulder Dress, $45
Madewell Eyelet Midi Dress, $35
Gap Button Fly Denim Shorts, $1 after rewards
Gap Short Sleeve Tie Front Top, $7 after rewards
Lack of Color Palma Wide Fedora via Tradsey, $76
Gifted via Consignment Originals
Lauren Ralph Lauren Striped Midi Dress
Loft Eyelet Sundress
J.Crew Collection Lace Crop Top
Sonoma Navy Espadrille Wedges

I think my favorite thing here is that tie front top, which you got for such a steal! I love how loose and floaty it looks--perfect for the hot weather.
ReplyDeleteI love the summer sales because you can get things so crazy cheap and still have plenty of time to wear them! I have not done well resisting the temptations. Love what you got!

I'm impressed with what you got! You got some great deals with your rewards from Gap. Listing on ebay seems to be the way to go. I need to set aside a day and just list items on ebay. I have a pile that I would get pennies for at thredUp, but I know I could get more on ebay. It just takes some extra time!
ReplyDeleteI love everything!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!

I like that off the shoulder dress and the tie front top! :) I agree too, there are so many tempting sales and offers in July!
ReplyDeleteYou're doing well with ebay selling. I so rarely have the patience now for it!
Hope you are having a lovely week so far :)

What a lovely selection of purchases - and a relatively colourless one, too! Obviously that makes me biased towards loving all the pieces, but I really do, and I would happily make this my July shopping list as well. In reality, my purchases this month included the tiniest bit of colour, which is almost crazy for me, but summer is a funny time of year - I think it makes us all feel a bit more free to just do things, regardless of the consequences, and that's at least partly why we hate to see it end.
