This outfit also is the debut of my little Japanese Knot Bag I made last month. I'm quite proud of myself, I feel like I haven't finished a project in ages (including the overly ambitious alteration of a thrifted top which I started at the same time as the bag). I used to love to sew, and while my patience for doing tedious and intricate things comes through in other ways, such as decorative pie crusts, I do wish I could rekindle my flame for sewing.

I never in my life had the patience for sewing - including when I was being graded on it in junior high and high school - so I am impressed anytime I see anything that anyone has taken the time to make by hand. And I love the effortless style of the Japanese knot bag. I admit that I'm eyeing the red velvet one you included in your round-up, although I knew full well I would never use a red bag enough to justify buying it. Still, I love the idea of it, and I love that you made one for yourself.

I wish I was as crafty as you! I would love to make things! And it's been mild here too. Today is 50 degrees, so crazy but I am for sure embracing it. Those white culottes are screaming my name for me to have haha!

Ooh I didn't realize you made that bag! I like it even more now!
ReplyDeleteIt's such a shame the weather decided to get cold this day, haha. But the wind made for some nice movement at least

That bag is beautiful! I love the color! My MIL actually knit me a green one in that pattern years ago. I need to get it out for Christmas!! It would be the perfect accessory!
ReplyDeleteThat bag is so cute and it's amazing that you made it, wow! I'd be unstoppable if I could make my own bags, haha !I'd have so many!
ReplyDeleteEven if this wasn't the warmest outfit it's really pretty on you and I like the way the belted blazer ties in (ha!) with the knotted bag. Really nicely done! :)
Hope that you are having a great week :) We have had the week off with the kids and have just been doing Christmas activities - it's been so fun! We've gone to two separate snow themed events, even though it's the middle of summer here, haha!
