I also proceeded to style them in a nearly identical manner; slim fitting top tucked in for the full effect of the high waist, flat loafers, coat in a shade of brown, same bag.
There is comfort in styling things in similar ways, it worked before, therefore it should work again. While it's fun to browse Pinterest and look to others for new ways to style my pieces, it's much easier to look to my own archives.

Loving the new length of the jeans! And I know what you mean, sometimes when I don't know what to wear I just go back through my old posts, ha ha

That's the best part of the raw hem trend!! It makes it so easy to change the length!!

I love the simplicity of this outfit, and the leopard flats really pop!
ReplyDeleteI solidly support your decision to take up the jeans! This makes it trendy but also super classic and colors you can never go wrong with !

I have a pair of jeans I need to shorten like these, but I've been avoiding it because I am scared I will make them uneven! Yours look like the perfect length for you!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great look for transitioning into spring! And how fun are those shoes!!
ReplyDeleteI think chopping off some of the jeans was a really good idea - they look really cute.

You did a great job with the jeans, they look lovely at this length on you! I like your printed flats too :) I am always looking back on what I've worn before and wearing it similarly again - I think life is much easier when you have trusty outfit formulas to fall back on, especially on a busy morning!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a lovely weekend! It was a bit stormy here, but we had fun anyway! Thanks for linking up with the #weekdaywearlinkup!
Away From The Blue
It's interesting - because I work from home and, for most of the years that I worked from home, did the majority of my socialising at press events, I really developed the skill of dressing for photos. But then my life changed significantly, and I am trying to find my way back to dressing for everyday life, which now involves almost no press events, but includes a lot more business travel and corporate meetings than it used to. And your idea that if it worked once, it should work again really struck a chord with me because I feel like that has been my approach, especially with the terrible weather we have here in the winter. A few things work and I stick to them, day in and day out, with little variation. It sounds strange, but rather than feel confined by that, it has made me want to hone in even more on the type of clothes I rewear, and make my shopping efforts more focussed. But we'll see how long that idea lasts ;) One thing I do wear a ton of is turtlenecks and I always love this one on you, but I find merino so itchy... I'll have to hunt down a good alternative.

Those jeans are so killer on you, I support the shorter length!

Oooh yes this is definitely my kind of style. I absolutely love that you DIY'd the chop on your jeans. So well done! And the shoes caught my eye right away. Super cute.
ReplyDeleteGirl I am loving these leopard flats! You look so cute! xo
ReplyDeleteI think you cut them perfectly! I usually cut mine because I'm so short! I love your outfit!

I think you found the right length.
ReplyDeleteI did this and the results were hideous. Then again, i think the jeans were hideous prior to me chopping them.
I like the chop! I have a few pairs of jeans that need this treatment- my legs are just a liiiiiitle too short and I end up with extra denim at the bottom and always have to cuff.

How fun that you changed up this denim. You can't even tell that it didn't come that way. Cropped denim is my favorite for spring/summer. You styled this look perfectly!!

Camel and leopard is my favorite combo ever. Looking so chic and sophisticated!
ReplyDeleteThat's the perfect look for this spring. Now off to find some jeans to chop in my closet :)
ReplyDeleteBrowsing your archives is a smart idea--and no need to shop after either! I like the length of the jeans too, I think it was a good decision :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty look! Very nice colors!
ReplyDeleteSuch a chic look on you dear! love the turtleneck sweater, so flattering on you. And yes, can't go wrong with the leopard loafers.
