Dot Candy

I doubt I'm alone in feeling a bit baffled as to how we've reached August already, in addition to the fact that I'm at a two month delay in sharing this dress. I wore it to a baby shower in June and never got a chance to photograph it that day. Always a sucker for pieces that are somewhat whimsical, and pieces that are half off clearance, I snagged this dress and couldn't let it go, even if the monochrome version of it may have been the more sensible choice.

I'm also pleased to report that this dress lived up to its name; while I was taking these photos I overheard a girl say to to her friend, "That girl's dress looks like that paper candy." Indeed it does.

    This is such a fun, flattering dress! I love dot candy so of course I love this colorful print! I could see it working in a variety of occasions and events. You can't go wrong with a great dress!

    I am always baffled about how fast time goes by ... but then I say that every year so I know it isn't a new emotion - I LOVE your dress here ... the tie-in belt accentuates your waist and the colors on white are so soothing. You look lovely.

    That girl you overheard was absolutely right - this dress does look like that paper candy, but in the best possible way. While it's a bit colourful for me, I love the simple, elegant cut, enough to be considering seeking out the monochrome version, but I think this one suits your style just perfectly, and I hope you'll get a lot more chances to wear it before the summer ends :)
