I will admit I am envious of minimalists. I feel anxious when I look at the things I buy that I clearly have no space for, but shopping makes me happy. I can easily spend hours browsing and perusing, and lets not forget my favorite thing to do, get something at a good discount.
Shopping used to be much harder, but the internet changed that. No longer confined to what was local and available, suddenly I could shop the world, and while I might now have to spend a disproportionate amount of time returning things, the pleasure of a package on my doorstep has yet to get old.

That is such a fun top and it looks so nice with the white jeans! :) I love a good basic, but fun printed statement pieces like this are part of a good wardrobe too! It's often easier to get the printed pieces on sale as well at the end of a season I find! I wouldn't feel bad for getting this top - it looks fantastic on you!
ReplyDeleteHope your week is off to a good start :)

I love this top - it's such an interesting piece and looks perfect on you. And I feel the same way about online shopping, the thrill and enjoyment of getting those packages has definitely not worn thin for me yet.

I love this outfit! That top is so cute and would also be so perfect for fall layered over a sweater!

The details on that top are so pretty, I can see why you had to have it! I have learned that I don't actually like the process of shopping, although I like the result of having been shopping. I just want the things I want, but I don't like having to hunt them down, find the best deal, etc. It's just not something I make time for. Which is a good thing for my budget I guess, but sometimes I would like to have a day to devote to browsing.
ReplyDeleteEvery time there is a package at my door I feel like a little kid during Christmas morning haha. That top though is so cute! I love the fringe details and print!

There was a time when I would have fallen for this top just like you did. A time, as unbelievable as it sounds, when I didn't even like shopping in stores that carried too much black - their stock bored me. It's strange to think about that now, but I think what changed for me was really down to needing to get dressed for work everyday. Working in such a conservative industry, all of my fun patterned pieces ultimately made me look (and feel) out of place, so they became increasingly neglected... and soon I stopped shopping for them entirely. I would still not call myself a true minimalist, but I admit that getting dressed is a lot easier now, since literally everything I own matches ;)

That tank is just too cute! I love bold prints and fringe!

I can see why you got this Lydia. It's so interesting and fun. Have you tried it with a skirt? Or over a dress??

That is an interesting top. So many fun elements. I rarely wear tanks now ... in offices it is too cold and outside the sun always gets me no matter the sunscreen.

What a fun tank top. I love how bold it is! You rock it girl!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on always wanting versatility or multiple ways to wear the things in my closet. But...I also think it's okay to have a few pieces you just LOVE, even if they aren't the most functional. When you do have the chance to wear them it just makes that day feel a little extra special. That's definitely a fun top and I hope you can layer it up to wear through fall!
ReplyDeleteYes closet workhorses are all well and good but I think sometimes a piece just calls to you. It is pieces like that top that make your closet so much more fun!
ReplyDeleteI love the print on the top - so unique!
ReplyDeleteIt really is a very pretty, unique top! I think that's the beauty of shopping at local boutiques and thrift stores - you find things that you won't see on others! I try to be more minimalist these days, but I love shopping as well and I still have yet to find something that brings me more joy hobby-wise then fashion and beauty products! It's okay to enjoy, as long as you keep a budget in mind and I know you do :)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute top babe and I am loving the pattern play and the fringe details!!

I love the subtle pattern mixing here! This tank is super cute.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun and unique top- love the different colors and textures!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty and flattering top on you dear!

It's a pretty top.. have you ever considered listing everything you own? I wish we had a good postal system, I would be listing my closet ... or so I say.
ReplyDeleteI also envy that possibility of having space for everything and for getting dressed to be simple and not time consuming.
Totally with you! I love that feeling of a package on my doorstep, makes me so happy! I also love that there are soooo many more options as well now, makes shopping way easier!
ReplyDeleteI love this top, especially with the mix pf fabrics and prints, and so perfect for any season, really.
