Persian Rug Duster

I was poking around Lucky Brand earlier this year when I spotted this chiffon duster - it doesn't take much for a blue and white print to win my heart, but I was willing to patiently wait four months until it finally went on sale. I was also taken by a wrap dress in the same print and posted both pieces on my Instagram stories. Even though the dress won in the poll, and was $10 cheaper, I couldn't rationalize keeping both. My heart belonged to the duster.

Naturally this print has sold out now, but Lucky Brand does have a number of other options for that perfect end of summer layering piece.

    At first I was like.... oh she got a new rug! And then I realized that it said duster! I really love this print and it looks so cute on a duster! The color is perfect too, such a gorgeous shade of blue on you!

    You like what you like! It's great that you were sure enough to keep the duster even though it was more expensive and didn't win the poll. I think choosing with your heart instead of your head will hopefully mean you wear it more often!

    I can see why you bought this duster, it's just so pretty! it looks great on you and it's fantastic layering piece before it gets too cold! I love my kimonos and they get such a workout in spring and autumn, on the warmer days they are the perfect layer! :)

    Some people crave food - I crave clothes. So I know exactly how you felt about this duster, and why you had to have it, even when the dress version was cheaper and everyone on Instagram said they preferred it. Once you fall in love with something, it just has to become yours. There is no way to feel satisfied otherwise. (I wish I weren't like that but - that's my shopping reality, anyway.) For what it's worth, this duster is absolutely gorgeous on you. I love the deep blue shade, particularly against white denim. And I love that you somehow already had the perfect hat to complete the look :)

    What a great piece Lydia i like how you have styled it with shorts, i had not imagined it could be worn like this ! I purchased a velvet one recently but have not worn it because i tend to think it will make me look shorter.
