A Culmination of Holiday Shopping

This year I adhered pretty strictly to the holiday shopping rule of one gift for others, one gift for myself. I feel like the sales were just relentless, both before and after Black Friday, and temptation was everywhere. The biggest splurge being this croc embossed Loeffler Randall bag. When I was in New York with Cee we spotted it in Bloomingdales, and I couldn't stop thinking about it. Then there were sales on sales and I managed to get it for half off.

Of course it paired perfectly with my other new closet additions, and this outfit practically put itself together. While sandals would not be my usual choice for December, and I'd likely roll my eyes at anyone else wearing cropped pants and sandals in 40° weather, getting a manni/peddi was the first stop of a busy day and I'd sooner have freezing ankles and toes than a ruined pedicure. Besides, with the worst of winter yet to come, I need to get all the wear I can get from these faux leather pants while I still can.

    This year I was really good and dutifully did all my shopping for other people and got through Christmas ... and then went out earlier today and bought myself so many things because, damn it, I deserve it. Just like you deserve that amazing purse, which it sounds like you got a killer deal on.

    Oooh jealous! it was on one of my sale wish lists over the Summer I think! Or a similar version of it, haha. I was good and bought nothing for myself over the holidays. (Helps that I had to think about bills because of low income but still, haha)

    What a stunning bag! I think you did well scoring it for 50% off! :) I didn't buy much for myself over the pre-Christmas sales, I did pick up a couple of things at Jeanswest to use up one of my Christmas gift cards but that's been it. Already bought two things in the post Christmas sales though, haha!

    I'm inclined to agree about the sales being relentless - and actually worse, I think, before Christmas than after, because so much stock go cleared out around Black Friday. I was diligently waiting to make certain purchases after the holidays once all my bills were paid and, in the meantime, the majority of the pieces I planned to buy sold out. Probably not the worst thing for my wallet, but still, quite surprising. I have to admit, I love that you just pulled the trigger when you could and didn't hesitate, because I am now regretting not doing the same thing. Though I had forgotten about this gorgeous Loeffler Randall bag! Now that I see you carrying it, I think it may have to be added to my wishlist again.

    Hope you had a good holiday L! I can imagine the temperature but the sacrifice was worth it, the pics look as amazing as usual.
    Gorgeous bag, I see why you would fall for it, the bamboo handle is the purpose another way of wearing it?
