How rapidly the daylight hours shrink the moment August ends. Sunlight past 6 p.m. feels like a dream.
This is the last set of the true summer photos. I'm not sure why I held on to them for so long, though perhaps it's because I don't want to accept that summer is over.

What a pretty rust dress and I love the sunlight in the first few pics! :) It usually gets dark early here, we don't have such long summer nights, although they are a little longer than winter 6pm is about normal here for sunset right now, although it might stretch an hour later in the height of summer :)
ReplyDeleteHope that you had a good weekend! :)
Away From Blue
These are gorgeous end of summer photos (and an equally gorgeous dress) - are you expecting a harsh winter this winter? Hopefully it will be relatively mild and then it's back to summer!

I love the color and print of that dress! And the flowers in your woven bag are so cute.
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely sad when the days get shorter, but that does mean it's almost time to decorate for Christmas!

If you held onto these for so long because you didn't want to accept that summer is over, well - I am right there with you. It's now been snowing for almost twenty-four hours solid and I'm ready to pack up everything I own to move to a different country mid-pandemic just to escape the weather (and the darkness.) I know winter is supposed to be what makes the beauty of summer so special, but I'm not sure I buy that. I think I could happily appreciate sundress weather even if I had it all year long, and I suspect you could, too ;)
