Sometime early pandemic I decided I'd waited long enough (almost three years) to get this pair of velvet pants, and when I saw them at ThredUP I bought them. However, I bought a size small and it turned out I needed the medium. I managed to resell them on Poshmark (at a loss, of course) and then purchased the medium from another Posher who wasn't too open to price negotiation, so I paid more than I did on the first pair. Then in my typical fashion, I managed to not wear them for five months. Turns out that styling them in my imagination was a lot easier than in reality.

Haha, such a struggle! But worth it. Love the color! I'm sure you'll find plenty more ways to wear them. I'd wear a purple or burgundy sweater or something!

ReplyDeleteThose pants are so fabulous! I can't resist velvet! Loving those sunglasses on you too!
ReplyDeleteThey are such fun pants! it's a shame that they cost you more than expected with having to resell the first pair and pay much more for the second pair, but they do look so good on you and I hope you are able to wear them more! I think velvet pants are suddenly trendy again - you're not the first blogger I've seen feature them this week! :)
ReplyDeleteHope that your week is going well :)

How cute are you in your velvet pants! They're so festive for the holidays!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I absolutely love how you styled these pants, I can imagine they would not be easy to work in your wardrobe - they are just so over-the-top fabulous on their own, what would you wear them with? And the nude shade, while lovely, is one that I find among the hardest to pair with other colours. Suffice it to say that I understand your struggle, but I still don't think you need have any regrets about adding these pants to your wardrobe ;)
