On the first day of quarantine, I bought this vintage wool Pendleton coat from a shopgoodwill.com auction. Now, nearly a year later, I'm finally sharing it on the blog. Obviously I wasn't really going anywhere last spring, so it didn't get photographed until the fall, and it only makes sense that photos I took in November are being posted now.
I liked the idea of mixing textures for this outfit - the lace top paired with the leather skirt, the croc bag with a silk scarf - while sticking to a mostly neutral color pallet.

I love how you added the scarf to that bag!!
ReplyDeleteand yeaaa....I have so many things that I never really "wore" that I bought last year, haha...like I wore them for 10 minutes to take photos and then went back home. I can't wait until we can GO PLACES AGAIN!

I love a good vintage find, and this coat is a real gem. One of the many internet rabbit holes I've gone down in our extended lock down - because since the first week of November, we haven't been allowed to see anyone or go anywhere, and although they reopened restaurants this week, you can only go to them with people you live with - is shopping for vintage bags on Vestiaire Collective. So far I haven't pulled the trigger on any but the price point is a bit different than shopgoodwill.com ;) Still, clearly it would be worthwhile for be to do some investigating there because maybe I could find the cream coat of my dreams that I've been searching for all season to no avail? Not that I have anywhere to wear it but at this point that doesn't even really matter...
